How did Wright play last might?
Please let me know how the kid played last night, I missed the game completely.

I was at the game, some good seats. Surprisingly, he got booed every time he was shooting free throws. He got out muscled by Okafor but he kept fighting him, did a good job forcing him into tough shots most of the time, took fouls when he had to. His rebounding seemed subpar, but I felt the team on a whole was awful. No energy. Dudley, who looks 30 pounds overweight and moves like he had both hips replaced got every lose ball and rebound. Nice touch on a couple moves, was open on the break at least once and nobody found him, looked like he knew what he was doing out there (opposite of POB). Course, I have the flu, so take my observations with a grain of salt

Too passive? Helped to hold Okafor (keep in mind that Nellie has had BWright playing Center) to only 11 rebounds (he snagged 18 against Beans the last time we played). How about the way he was getting banged around during the game, practically no calls his way? Getting the rookie/Warrior treatment by the refs. What else is new?

I think he got booed because he went to UNC and fans are bitter about the trade. Just a theory, I would think that they'd cheer him for that, but who knows? I really doubt it was because he was too passive, as turk mentioned, he was working his but off, the only problem was his strength, not the effort. Matt Carroll got more protection from the refs than Monta, it was sad. Bobcats got away with a few blatant pushes in the back, but those are the breaks. It was great to see brandan in person, he looked very aggressive, especially when switched out on a guard on D, he was better than monta at keeping his man in front of him.

Brandan is playing for me now so he has to perform.
In my fantasy keeper league I recently traded Devin Harris, Kenny Thomas, and 1st round pick for Brandan Wright and Craig Smith.
Back in the summer of 05 I traded Mickael Pietrus for Alonzo Mourning and a 1st round pick. I drafted this kid Monta Ellis in the 1st round and was ridiculed for not taking Hakim Warrick or Joey Graham.

After that first really good game from Wright a week or so ago, when Nellie said "wouldn't it be nice if he did that all the time?" Against Charlotte was one of those "other times."
Like usually, he had a few really nice plays. He's definitely got eye-opening skill and length. But he's still a rook, and the consistency in doing it night in and night out is not there yet.

Last night's game was totally decided by the terrible (team) guardplay. Baron & Jack weren't even thinking about passin or sharing the ball and it affected everyone. If you saw the game the lack of effort to involve other players stood out even more than any "failures" by the bench guys. The gunners just got a pass because they hit shots, but they didn't guard anyone, and they froze out their teammates.
It's kinda hard to fault Brandan, Al, Barnes, Bukie or Pete for not making more of an impact on a selfish game like that.

Thanks for the cogent response, that's what I was looking for.
How in the hell did Matt Carroll grab 11 boards?
One thing I always liked about Dudley at BC was his ability to affect the game in many ways and a really high BBall IQ. How'd he manage to grab 18 though?
