Floppy,

Monta has been on camera describing Moncrief as a huge influence THIS year. Everything I see you putting out about Cheaney is from 2006 if I'm not mistaken.

Ellis' game and demeanor are becoming All Star and world class THIS year, not 2006.

We disagree. Monta's demeanor does not appear changed to me since 2006.

We will indeed disagree.

Perhaps I should flesh it out a little more. I should have explicitly included his improvement in front of a mic and in the room with basketball literati. Needs work, tons of it, but that is precisely where Sidney Moncrief comes in (besides his game improvement).

I do see him picking up a lot of Baron and Jackson's bad habits.

For our sake we better hope not.

From the first post:
Anyone noticing that Monta is modeling his on court demeanor after Calbert Cheaney?

I wasn't really talking about his interview skills.

Now that we've clarified our terms for each other, and sorry for not following your original plan of discussion, are you suggesting his Calbert demeanor has remained the same since 2006, then? Good of you to bring it up now. When did you first notice?

I just like his demeanor. I like Cal's demeanor. They are very similar. Monta has credited Cal as a mentor.

Of course its possible, even likely, that Monta would be like he is anyway. I was just reminded of Cal while observing him.
