Worth a gamble?????

Post#1 » by mait » Fri Mar 7, 2008 10:32 pm

This can be one of my grazy trade ideas but I think that the greatest
missis of Chris Mullin GM tennure is drafting Icke Diogu over
Andre Bynum that could have given us inside scoring threat You need
to go deep in playoffs because You have to be able
to play adeqaute half-cour D and offense to do this.
Dallas is lacking this aspect of their game and this is really
paying off them and that also forced 100% pure
run and gun style team Suns trade for Shaq.

I have reccently read that Al wants out of Nellies doghouse.
Seeing Brandan and Andris really emerging Maybe we should ship
him (AL) alongside with our pcik to team that hold TOP 10 draft
pick and select JaVale McGee. This kidd is more skilled than POB and
seems to be able to be as good prospect as Andrew Bynum. And he
can shoot 3s (this should be sweet for Nellie).

Any other sees this gamble worth taking the risk......

Too busy worrying about this year. Let's wait until next year after we see how our season goes and then we can evaluate what we our needs are. We don't even know for sure if Nellie's returning.

Andrew Bynum wouldn't be as good if Don Nelson is coaching him. See POB.

Bynum wouldn't be a SEXY beast right now if he wasn't motivated by Jabbar and $$$. But, with the way he's developing, i'd do a trade with him. Al harrington, Biedrins, CJ Watson, 1 draft pick for Bynum, Farmer, cash consideration,

Great trade AdonalFoyle4Prez in my view point for Warriors future but I doubt Lakers will do this even w/o Farmar.

Hindsight is always 20 20. Diogu was part of the deal that got Jackson and Harrington so maybe that deal which made GS playoff caliber doesn't happen without Diogu.

The past? I'm still mad about trading Najera, Luis Flores, and a first for Skita and Rodney White. :nonono:

:noway:

Bynum got spoonfed. Biedrins doesn't get fed much..Ike couldn't get minutes even when he was near unstoppable in the paint. Say whatever but Ike often got a point a minute. The only "defense" that contained him was Nellie/Monty pulling him.

I LIKE Bynum-but he's NOT better than Biedrins now...and won't be.

The Pass?

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

.....note the Skita/Rodney White reminder  The Warriors have...as a franchise...done a pretty awful job of learning from mistakes.

Do the Warriors REALLY do their homework before a trade? Might not have traded Bernard King for a doped up Michael Ray Richardson. How about the draft? POB was a KNOWN project..so we draft him---then decide we do not DO projects.

The past is what teaches lessons. the future is what matters. The present is what tells you whether you are moving forward or in reverse. :vent:

From what info I found-McGee is still pretty raw and not seen as an 08 pick. Also..I don't think we'd get a top 10 for Al,unless we were also eating a pretty bad contract. Fazekas also at U Nevada..averaged 20/10 over 3 seasons. McGee is averaging 13/9....we can get Fazekas for free.

I've been pushing Jason thompson as a pick. He has most of McGee's good parts without the negatives. Unlike McGee,Thompson has the experiance and polish to play as a rookie. He's got a real nice all round game, good strength as well as great mobility.

I think anyone that knows basic math can tell you what direction the Warriors are heading in.

Id ask you to explain what exactly that means, but Im afraid that you would just go on a huge anti-Neliie tangent like you always do.

Well if it makes you feel better Nick, I would go off on the usual "this model of (in)efficiency is the same one Nellie has run in several stops with the long term results never being worth it" but I don't think it would get a response other than the short sighted "look at our record" response

Pop quiz hotshot: Our team had was going in which direction before Nellie came aboard?

And what direction, if you absolutely had to pick one, would you say that we are heading in now?

Just to keep it simple and in the vein of this whole direction analogy lets say:

North= improved
South= gotten worse
East or West= in the same position as before.

Keep your answer simple and relevant to the question at hand.

Our team was not improving or getting worse.. we were in the worst kind of stalemate before Nellie came.

And now with Nellie in control, we're in the exact same position with more fanfare... but we may luck out and have Nellie quit before he forces us to piss away our assets. And then we'll be depending on Smart, a Nellie disciple...

So if the ultimate goal is a championship, as it should be, we've done nothing to get any closer to that w/Nellie... physically closer to it? Sure. But closer to winning it? Hell no.
