Don't look now, but Suns 2.5 games out of 9th place...

Suns lost to the Utah Jazz tonight, while the Nuggets (Currently 9th place) hammered the Spurs...

This leaves Phoenix 2.5 games from missing the playoffs, with one of the hardest remaining schedules in the league.

Houston has proven they can win just fine without Yao, if Denver keeps up this type of play, perhaps getting a lottery pick from the Suns isn't so absurd after all.

I think Phoenix is now like 3-7 in their last 10 or something...

Man just imagine that, a top 4 pick and a top 14 pick...

Beasley/Ty Lawson
Rose/Thabeet
Bayless/Thabeet
Mayo/Lawson

All look good to me. ;)

Actually it's possible that the Suns pick could jump in the top three and so could the Sonics pick too.

Imagine two picks in the top three.

Beasley and Rose.

or Rose and Mayo

That would be absurd, I can live with the #3 pick along with the #14 pick

They'll make the playoffs. I'm not sure Houston will keep it up.

If phoenix do end up in the lotto with the 14th pick, I would trade the 14th pick, Jeff Green, Chris Wilcox, and Luke Ridnour for a S&T Iggy. The top 5 2008 pick (Rose, Mayo, or Bayless) plus Durant, Iggy, Nick Collison, Petro, and 2nd round pick (Joey Dorsey a MUST have). Our team will have enough vets, youth, and star power to make a push for the playoffs and make the sonics harder to leave seattle.

Jeff Green
Chris Wilcox
Little Luke and
the 14th pick

For

Iggy

Iggy isn't worth that package. But we all know what package you're into Soy and that's Iggy's package.

Iggy will never be a Sonic get over it.

If the Suns pick does end up at 14, I would love to see us trade up to about 9 or 10 and maybe pick up Mayo or Russell Westbrook to go along with either Rose or Bayless...

I think we will be able to land at least one of either Rose or Mayo. If the Phoenix pick is in the lottery then who knows what can happen - my dream would be to land both.

PF - Rose/Ridnour
SG - Mayo/Durant
SF - Durant/Green
PF - Green/Collison
C - Sene/Swift/Petro

I'd rather have Ridnour on the Sonics because it feels like he's part of the team more so than Watson. Earl would probably complain getting limited minutes behind Rose but I think Ridnour has accepted his backup role. He's still a good passer and a nice change of pace to any starter.

Wilcox might be good trade bait to move up in the draft if needed, because IMO he's expendable. Collison is a better defender and rebounder and a comparable scorer to Chris. Plus I think the league might view Wilcox as 'better' because of his flashy dunks and cool hairdo. But in reality I think Collison should be the guy as he can also play some backup center if needed.
