So what happened in the third when Jameer left the game? On the last possession before the time out, Jameer was furious. He slammed the ball down hard as he started to dribble. When the time out was called, he went over to Keith and was yelling right in his face. I've never seen Jameer lose his temper before. When they got to the bench, SVG took over screaming at Keith. Then Dooling replaced Jameer and Keith kept on playing. At the time we were down by five. I saw someone changing the bandage on Jameer's neck, and thought maybe he was out because he was bleeding. Then the GS lead kept growing and Jameer didn't go back in. I began to worry that maybe he was injured, particularly when Carlos came out to play. By the time Jameer got back in the game, they were ahead by 15. We closed the gap some then, but it was just too late.
Surely there was some comment by announcers about this whole strange affair.
In the second half, Dwight seemed to think rebounding was a spectator sport and he was the spectator. He just stood there and watched while one of the Warriors jumped in front of him to take the rebound. It seemed like this happened again and again. People around me were muttering. I'm afraid I yelled, and what I said wasn't too nice.

I have a new hatred for Ken Mauer and Brian Forte. Those f*ckers screwed us out of at least a dozen calls in the 3rd quarter.
I knew we were f*cked with GSW coming back without even heating up because the damn refs had to step in.
Then in the 4th we just couldn't hit a damn shot.
The Big 3 scored 20+ each.
But all 3 PGs were bad (Kedo not 100%).
Our bench brought absolutely nothing. You know you're in trouble when Carlos Arroyo is your Subway Sub of the Game with 3 points and an assist.
No Fat Guy tonight, and we jinxed ourselves for not dressing Gortat. I thought PG and JJ would end up playing because Cookie and Adonal were ineffective, and Mo and especially Kebo were not doing much defensively.
Oh well, Atlanta on Monday, GUYS NIGHT.
All you insecure boys better stuff your pants for the dancers.

really sad to see how we played out there...really sad...it's like we knew what was happening, and did nothing about it...
Mo Evans....please...what is wrong with this guy all of the sudden? man, start Bogans again...
Hedo with the turnovers...how many times are you going to pass the ball, into someone else's hands? i mean, after the 4th time, you'd think it was time to move on...
sickening man...
PG's haha...must be nice to have one...

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

1. interesting incident, to say the least.
2. incidentally, jameer was downright terrible.
3. he was one of the major reasons why the magic had that horrible third quarter.
4. that the lead somewhat shrank after he subbed in was due to hedo's too little too late awakening.
5. it seems like with jameer on the floor, hedo only tried spectacular passes.
6. jameer, if he plays like this, should not start.
7. unfortunately, x is undefined in the sentence "x should start instead".
only 10 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists shy of yet another triple double - anonymous

Can we request a urine test for GSW? Seems like they were on speed or some other upper in the 2nd half.
We just looked like we were stuck in molasses. They were 10x more active than we were. Seemed like we took them out of their game in the 1st half, but they refused to bend in the second - changing the pace of their game to suit them.

BTW - How does Dwight only score 7 in the 2nd half after scoring 19 in the first?
I wonder what Baron said to him at the line. He was perfect (8 in a row, iirc) up to that attempt.

GSW shot for 40% and 25% from the 3.
We shot 45% and a great 47% from the 3.
Yet we still lost by 10, that's sad. To shoot so well and to defend so well (or that GSW missed so much) and still lose by that much.
GSW shot the ball 20 more times, our big 3 with 15 ! TO's, Hedo 7, Shard 4, D12 4. 20 TO's to 9. 14 steals to 3.

The second half was horrible.
For the first time in a long time, I thought SVG mismanaged a game badly. I don't think it would have made much difference in the outcome given the half assed effort by the players.
The guard play was horrific. Even Dooling was playing a "matador" on defense. Bogans, Evans, Nelson were equally miserable.
Howard didn't seem interested on either end in the second half. Hedo was trying to be Steve Nash, and Lewis just disappeared.
What happened to Cook? Evans and Bogans were terrible on both ends, why not JJ? Especially if scoring has become a problem.
Why didn't SVG get control over the offense during that 3rd quarter meltdown?
Well, I hope this is just a one time thing..........

Basketball is driven by three principles:
1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

If the Magic want to get respect they cant mail in games like this at home. This was a pathetic effort all around. Its like the Magic felt if they showed up that GS would eventually give up. I hate that attitude. The Magic played lethargic and lazy. Several times Magic players watched the ball hit the court off a missed shot while a GS players hustles after it. It was an embaressing lack of effort. The high number of turnovers were embarresing, again lack of focus and effort. The Magic didnt seem interested in rebounding, defense or playing offense. They Magic didnt play hard and thats why they lost.

Thank you for admitting it. That's why I thought that thread on the general board was a bit unnecessary.
Please do not question my fanhood just because I'm not a complete homer. A closet fan? No, just not a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) when it comes to my teams. There's a difference between rooting your team on and making outrageous claims in a public setting. The Magic are a damn good team, but still a team that has a lot of growing to do before deserving of the respect so many here think they should be getting.
