Marion + bad contracts for Marbury + lottery pick is a great move. Marbury is not an answer but is a means towards the goal. That way we keep a max expiring contract, could have him as the scoring punch from the bench but best of all we get a high lottery pick. Lets be honest here Marion is a bad fit for this team in our current condition, let NY extend his contract and have him.
The main thing is we get an extra high value asset in the lottery pick while keeping a max expiring contract to use for trades.
Trading for Iverson gives us a better player on a one year contract but a lower first round pick. Iverson wants a ring and will at the end of the day sign for a contender or ask to be bought out so that would lower his trade value. Marbury would be more a straight salary dump (that got pau)

Kaman wouldn't be a bad target and is only making 12 mil max at the end of his contract and is avg a double double + almost 3 blocks a game.
Ive have said that many times, i think kaman is some1 that we should target.
Kaman,Brand,Tim Thomas,7(eric gordan) Pick For Marion,Blount,Cook,1st overall(beasley)
Heat would be back at the top.
C-Kaman-Chris Mihm
PF-Brand-Haslem
SF-Dorrel-Tim Thomas
SG-Wade-Eric Gordan
PG-Juan Carlos Navarro(MLE)-Marcus backs
That team would be atop of the East!

The main problem that has affected the Heat the past 2 seasons, since winning it all, is having players who are apathetic to playing hard and once got their ring (on Wade's back) stopped caring. From Shaq to Toine to J-Will and now guys like Ricky, it has infected and rotted the core of the team. Adding a Marbury, the prototypical ME player who demanded out of Minnesota because he was 2nd fiddle to KG and who is a glorified Ricky Davis - sure he can score 20, but his team always loses...
we need players who bleed basketball, and die a little each time when they lose, and leave it all out on the floor - and hope it reignites Wade's passion, along with his healed body (hopefully). Marion has it. Haslem has it. Posey had it. Riley has it. It's a hard trait to find in today's NBA where the star players are instant gazillionaires. People with the willpower of AI, Kobe, etc are hard to come by.
Was that sarcasm? It doesn't read that way......two of the most selfish 'ME-FIRST' players in league history and you are using them as examples of players the Heat should be pursuing?

I believe he meant people with intense pride, people who hate losing and give their all night in and night out just to win. And you think Kobe or AI doesn't fit that description?

I'd be all for it as long as he kept his hair cut.
