Thank you Wade for making this decision. You definitely need the rest.

Eh, it finally happened. I don't know how i'm going to sit through these remaining 20 games of the season though.

Any way we can list Marion with an "injury" as well?

This Olympics thing is starting to grate.

He's ending his season in March people! That gives him a good 4 months of rest and rehab before the Olympics start (and which will last...like a month). He's not going to be playing heavy minutes either. Then once they're over, he'll have a month and a half of rest before training camp starts.

No way in hell should he miss the olympics, especially because those game are far less physical and he plays as a sixth man for them anyway.

Well it's about time he's getting some rest. He couldn't help the team this year anyway.

Signing Green and Simien sounds like a good idea right now.

I don't even know if Salmonella is healthy enough to play but I threw his name out there because if he is healthy, then this would be a good time to see what he is capable of.

It's probably time to force feed J-Will and Ricky to try and drum up some sign-and-trade value.

Can we change the title of this thread to HEAT now in official Tank Mode?

Now if there was any doubt...there should be none.
Heck, get Gerald Green!

Great news. I've wanted Wade to be shut down a long time ago. There is really no point to him playing right now, the effects can only be negative at this point.

I'd rather he not play in the Olympics either, but he seems hell bent on going.

I'm guessing this is a team decision. Wade seemed convicted to finish the season he said,"as a unit",

Riley and co, I feel had to pull the trigger and sit Wade out.

he's having that OssaTron procedure. I read up on it, they anesthetize him in an outpatient setting then blast his knee with superpowerful shockwaves, like what they do with kidney stones. It is supposed to increase blood flow and reduce inflammation to the knees and tendons. He won't be able to do weight bearing exercise for 4 weeks, but can ride a bike or go in a pool. He'll have all of March, April, May, June to relax until camp starts in July and the Olympics in August. Having him practice against the best of the best will be great for him.

Actually for myself (and I think for some others perhaps too) it will be easier watching now. Because now when the blowouts occur its easier to take. While Wade has put up pretty good stats, he's clearly not been the same player. I think he has maybe what.... 10 dunks on the season? Maybe? In years past he'd dunk the ball 10 times between two games. And it will be easier to watch knowing Wade's not risking further damage to the knee for no reason.
