They have a glut at pg. He would be a good backup to baron, and possibly an ideal compliment to ellis down the road. What would you give in the offseason?

This year's 1st would be the reasonable option (GS would take back salary in the deal with the TPE - it wouldn't change the Warrior's Luxury Tax issues as Critt would make about what this year's 1st round pick would).
I don't know that Memphis would make that deal as they already have 2 1st round picks and certainly don't need to get even younger (although they could just draft someone older than Critt anyway).

POB S&T??? Is that possible?
I highly doubt hes ever going to be an odd man out of their rotation. hes a combo guard.

Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

Trade this year's 1st for Crittenton. I don't really see too many players that will be available when the W's pick in this year's draft that will make an impact. I agree, Javaris may be able to develop under Baron and potentially be Monta's backcourt mate for years to come. Compliments him well because of his height and size; guarding the opposing team's 2 guards. Would've been only a sophomore in college, so there's a lot more room for improvement.

If I were Chris Wallace and you were Chris Mullin, we'd have a deal in the bag....but Air France ain't signing for what Critt makes.
We could work something out with us S&T navarro to you guys for something...he's a much better shooter than Critt, and has the La Bomba floater...Navarro/Critt for POB/Pietrus? Can S&T's be grouped like that?
not to threadjack-but what is the consensus around there about how the $ will be handled with Monta getting $erious$ chee$e and Biedrins up for $ as well, with Pietrus and Barnes and POB ufa's (not that Barnes and POB are even in the plan, most likely....)? Is Kelenna FA this offseason too? That's a lot of work and planning to do....

Too much booze and maybe someone in the front office wants to do that. Crtittendon has yet to show me he's as good at PG as Watson or as good at SG as Azu. He has big holes in his game-though there's the raw talent for him to be a good SG,if a team has good development programs (not us). I don't Think the Griz really got him to play PG.
I guess if anyone wants a Crittendon-Cardinal package, the Griz will listen. They don't appear to care too much about winning-just downsizing the payroll and selling out.
No...would not give our 08 #1. Not too sure I'd give Belli.
CENSORED... No comment.

Monta and Biedrins will be resigned (along with Baron if he opts out, which IMO isn't too likely). There's no doubt about that. I'll predict that Ellis gets a Kevin Martin-esque deal of around $55M/5yrs and Biedrins gets something like $50M/5 yrs.
Pietrus and POB are gone, no doubt about it. If we can get something via S&T that would be great but considering that both are UFAs who won't get more than the MLE, it's unlikely. They are going to walk and most W's fans have no problem with that.
Kelenna and Barnes I think will be resigned if we can get them to come back for a reasonable amount. I think we'd be willing to offer $4M/yr to either one, but if they get more we'll probably let them leave and look to replace them with D-Leaguers or the Draft.

thanks. All this seems pretty reasonable...although Monta at $11M, Biedrins @10M,and BD @ whatever he makes (and he's worth it, BTW!), is a LOT to have tied up in three players-potentially half the cap or more.
I think that will lead to there being a vast dichotomy on GSW between the "stars" and "watercarriers", so to speak-which is nothing bad-it could just put you in a Celtic-esque situation (and hey, trust me, I'd LOVE to be in that right now....). But hey, if you cats' owner is ok with it, you guys could wind up ruling the Earth

S&T Juan Carlos Navarro for S&T Pietrus, about 3 yrs at $3.5 each? Sound ok?
