Canadian here. Just curious.

How cold do your winters get? Is the weather generally the same as in LA? Do you guys ever get snow?

I have never seen any snow in Oakland; it doesn't get that cold there.

Skyline has been dusted with snow a few times in my lifetime. Snow has actually stayed on the ground for a day or two at Grizzly Peak on a two occasions I can remember.

Well, I guess you know by now that I didn't grow up in the Oakland hills. Not even as high as the location of Bishop O'Dowd High School. :D The first time I ever saw any real snow was during 1978 when I moved to the upper part of Michigan.

haha, oakland is not cold. but its colder than other parts of the bay area on average because of the bay.

overall it is colder than LA, but the summers are simply amazing. I think LA can get too hot in the summer, while the bay breeze keeps it a nice temp.

This statement is fairly close to accurate...

no other place I have been in the country has had year round enjoyable weather as i've had in oakland and in the bayarea. Miami is close to 2nd, but surprise showerstorms and hurricanes ruin it...but then again..maybe its the beach and women.

LA and Oakland have fairly compareable weather's but...LA gets hot and smoggy....

Oakland dodges the smog bullet slightly with the bay and the golden gates breeze..

Great place to visit <- taken with a grain of salt of course.

I love Oakland.

Oakland Chinatown loves the Warriors...

dont believe me...go to the Dim Sum Castle (i dont know the name of the place) i believe its 9th and Webster and just take a peek inside. All the tvs will show the Warriors game.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010
