JR is not Magic material, and we need someone who can give us trips to the line, quality defense, be replied on to take the brunt of the scoring at times and to remain focused...JR Smith does not fit that bill...however, if we were able to get him for a 2 year type deal cheap enough, I would consider adding him...not as our starting 2 guard though...

Shooting is not what we need now, JJ's shooting is grounded on a bench after all, what we need most is a big SG able to defend opposing teams top GF and a Big to defend-set up screans-hit an open jumper (Battie actually)

6 years - $50m for Moore???? no way, get outta here...

Udrih did not sign a deal of that sort, Moore might have signed a long term deal, however I thought he was under a one year $5.5 deal or something...we'll have to do some more investigating...

According to Storyteller's

2009-10 is only partially guaranteed / Signed 7/13/07 for an assumed $17,353,440 for 3 years

And looks like Udrich will be a FA.

"Released 10/29/07 / Team picked up 4th year option for 2007-08 on 10/28/06 / Signed 7/15/04"

iirc there was a wiretap indicating that he was more than likely going to stay put.

yea Beno I was positive about, for whatever reason I was thinking Moore was working on a deal and ended up settling for a big one year and would be a FA again...oops...

yea I believe last week the Beno story was up there, I think it said everyone in the organization felt he would be back..or something...

Jesus, why in a hell should we go for a PG not any better then the ones we have here in Udrih. Nelson-Arroyo is a decent combo against most teams in the league, plus Hedo's play alows us to put in a more of a scoring-defensive PG in Dooling from time to time. It would be great to have a big comboguard capable of handling the ball and not to be embarassed by elite guards as Billups or Davis but thats not Udrih for sure.

Rush plays good defense, and can contribute with his shooting and slashing...plus he's cheap...if we go for a PF or a PG instead of a 2 with our MLE we need to keep other guys like Rush in mind...

Kareem Rush is worse than Bogans and Evans.

That list could be potentially larger if you included guys with player options. There are some that will opt out and sign elsewhere.

Getting Maggette for the MLE would be awesome and to me looks realistic.

I think Childress is a perfect fit, in both need and personality

Well as stated before,

I hope we spend our entire MLE on Magette.

If not, Childress would be the next choice and spend whatevers left on Melvin Ely maybe?

Is there any particular ordering to the list?

If there's some ordering, it's not intuitive to me, lol...
