That is a deadly line up. Or if you want to go more into the future, replace Sjax with Belinelli.

Uh, no thank you.

Even assuming Baron opts out - which, if we get to the playoffs, win a series, and he isn't hurt for the rest of the season, playing a full 82 games plus, is possible - I still don't want to re-sign Pietrus to play the 3 until I know what other free agents are available to spend my money on.

That lineup is perhaps a .500 team in the West, and we've seen what .500 ball gets you this year.

Can you imagine the Baron-Kobe-Odom-Gasol-Bynum lineup?

Then I'm all for signing Pietrus for the duration of Nelie's contract, which is next year.

A 1-year deal @ $3 million is sold!!

Would you guys do a S&T for Tim Thomas (2years@MLE) if LAC is stupid enough to give that kind of money to Petey?

I had the Tim Thomas thought the other day. Get him in on a short deal, move Al in a salary dump . . .

Then I remembered that Tim Thomas gets sent home from teams for not trying hard. He would be hated in our locker room and by our coaches. We can't have a guy here who doesn't care.

So I hear Pietrus is suddenly a fantasy basketball asset.

I've found that the most vociferous sources of Gerald Wallace admiration and defenses of signing Kirlenko to his current contract come from fantasy players. So consider this fair warning that Abyss may have more passionate company soon.

I'd rather stick with Al then have to watch Tim Thomas.

Atleast we would have seen that a few times a year, lol

I think anybody wanting to keep pietrus after the way he's acted this year must be nothing but a #2 Jersey owner lol

He has raw talent and athletic ability, but he's just not that good...He coulda been working on his handles and jumper if he wanted to be an offensive player that bad, but he didn't improve much, and didn't come off the bench very strong..

**** if barbosa and Ginobli can do it, MP2...SO CAN YOU! sykeee,

best of luck next year though

He'd either be outcasted or made the face of the franchise...
