I went to school at Santa Barbara and grew up part of my life in Santa Cruz ( my parents currently live there)
Let me know if you have any questions becuase I know the Gauchos and the Banana Slugs well.
What would your scene be - outside of school ? Social life?
What exacly do you mean by that bold comment?
But yeah, im leaning toward SB at this point. Well definitely keep in contact though. THanks for that.

if you like beer, ucsb all the way...isla vista, beach cruisers, and all that... go gauchos!, also the alma mater of jim rome AND brian shaw....
...whereas, quentin tarantino is from...
of course if you prefer the stick icky, cold weather, and slightly hairier, but equally "liberal" co-eds, than banana slugs are in your future...
if you are one of those freaks going for an education, go to stanford, or ucla, or usd, claremont, or berkeley...
Nah, dont drink, but do like to party. Ive read SB is pretty good at that. ol
But the schools you listed I was never really interested in, and are now out of the questions since app deadlines are now months past. lol.
Im definitely not one of those school freaks. im the lazy laid back type who just happened to get his work done in HS when it counted.
Pretty average GPA (3.5) and pretty average SAT (1650) / ACT (25) as far as im concerned.
Just wanna head somewhere where ill be able to meet some kickback people, learn a few things that would propel me to future success in the job market, and have a good time doing it.

Looks like a great car. I definitely didnt think it would be that cheap.
Simple look on the outside, but packs everything i'd ever need on the inside. Definitely something id look into. Thanks for the heads up!

did you hear about stanford's new tuition policy? if you come from a family that makes less than $100,000 dollars a year, you only pay for room/board and books. if you come from a family that makes less than $60,000 a year............free ride for everything. families that top the scale with over $100,000 a year...........the tuition is supposed to be LESS than a california Junior College but room/board and books will need to be paid for.
Yeah, i've heard of this as well. Its not only Staford though, Its also done by MANY liberal Arts colleges on the East (UPenn and Columbia come to mind).
Considering my fam only makes about $30k, this wouldve been perfect for me
Unfortunately I heard about these financial aid benefits after the application deadlines were done.

Education and track is like a full time job. Im busy as hell.
Im gonna take the SATs in June so I gotta start uppin my study load soon.
Oh yeah, I can bench 145 now. WHOO!! 10 more pounds until I bench my own weight. YEAAA BOIIII
From someone who took SAT classes and took the test 3 times, here are some tips that are SURE to help you out:
-Dont do anything out of teh normal the night before! Do everything as you would normally do it.
- I know youre a music fan, so for a few days before the test (and the morning of the test if possible), try to not listen to ANY music with lyrics and whatnot. I know this may sound stupid, but try dloading some orchestra-type stuff and listen to that. Not only is it relaxing, but it prevents you from being distracted during the test with lyrics, which DEFINITELY mess you up (they messed me up my first time.
-
PACE YOURSELF! Cants tres that enough. I saw MANY people done like 10 minutes before the time given. MANY people simply rush it. DO NOT RUSH IT!. Take your time, especially on the essay part (which will come first).
- Dont worry about hat other people are doing. I know it sounds stupid suggesting this considering what I said in my point above (in which i did look around at others lol), but I had a chance to change that my 2nd and 3rd time. Concentrate on your own test and what youre doing.
Good luck man! Wish you the best. Remember, these SAT tests wont make you or break you in your college decisions. Its just one of the many factors they look at when sorting though hundreds (or thousandths) of applications.
Wish you the best!
