I just sent out a memo to all the teams in the NBA.

It reads as such,

Dear distinguished teams of the National Basketball Association,

We hope you have enjoyed playing against us without an inside presence over the last few months. We know you have specifically enjoyed playing against us recently without our newly acquired star Pau Gasol. Unfortunately(for you), in the upcoming days and weeks, our center, Andrew Bynum, who before injury was smashing you and making you cream in your pants, will be returning. Furthermore, our star Gasol will be back by the end of this week. In the mean time, you should head to your nearest church, snyogouge, or mosque and begin praying. Soon, you're asses will be crushed by the lakers. Prepare to be f-cked by the long d-ck of the lakers.

Sincerely,

Your friends,

The Los Angeles Lakers.

All I can say is OMG what a win. I have not been happier for a win in quite some time. Thanks to the people who put up with me and yes after halftime I decided to stay away from this board because I just had to watch the game in peace.

We pulled it off and I thank LO for being the MVP tonight. Kobe and Sasha took some pretty stupid shots but most of our team went 3 point happy the past two nights which really ticked me off. At least Sasha made that last one to put us up. Odom was simply amazing and I probably lead the charge in his hate club. His low IQ did not show tonight and he won this game for us tonight. Fisher came up with some clutch shooting as well, hopefully he is not too hurt. Kobe is pretty banged up as well so we can only pray for this team to get healthy for the playoffs. As far as Luke and Radman go, I am just glad they did not completely ruin the game. These two guys just need to stay out of the way.

Things to watch for:

Image - force the jumpshot, stop the drive

ImageImage -10 TO's from the starting big men is unacceptable. how many points did the w's have off to's in the 1st half?

ImageImage - knock down the shots. 3 for 15, 1-7 from 3 last game.

how it broke down:

ellis: 7 for 20, more shots than points.

odom/turiaf: 5 to's. cut in half.

farmar/sasha: sasha 7 for 13, 5 for 11 from 3pt land.

result: win.

espn said gasol back on wed. w/ the heart and toughness we displayed tonight i respect our team even more. i mean most teams would throw in the towel when down by double digits but US we adapt to the play and force the issue. we showed it the game that we lost to gsw on home floor that we couldve had that game then we showed it on their home floor except with the outcome favoring us. we are in it to win it this year, w/ bynum, ariza, mihm, and gasol we fight on. only good for us down the stretch as each one of those guys starts to join up with the rest of the guys. we are a scary team.

Well I missed the game, but looking at the box scores is it safe to say Lamar was the player of the game?

Lamars stats

10 for 15 = 67% shooting
23 points
21 freaking rebounds
5 ast
5 blocks

Very solid numbers by Lamar!!! WOW!!!

I'm very impressed by Lamars performance!!!

A much needed win ! Kobe proved once again that when he has an off shooting night, he still gets 30 points, along with 11 rebs and 7 assists.

Lamar is huge ! Now back at home and let's win a couple of games !

He had a pretty horrible first half, wasn't a ton better for most of the third, and then was very good in the fourth, until the last two minutes where he took a couple of horrible shots which really hurt us. As our leader he should've been the one to settle it down.. he did the opposite and hurt us badly -- this shouldn't have gone to overtime. He also wasn't too crash-hot in overtime, either.

Props for playing through all his injuries and stuff, and maybe 'trash' is a bit harsh but it was a really dissapointing game from Kobe.. Luckily, as you said, Odom was huge.

Lets just say kobe had an average game with all the warriors on him. considering that it wasn't bad. We should have won if scrubs didn't turn the ball over so much.

I had no problem bashing lamar a while back for all his boneheaded plays... and guess what?!?!? i dont regret it one bit.

but i also do not have a problem for giving mad props to lamar for the way he has been playing lately. He is an effin monster! keep it up LO!

there was a mod calling out all the lamar haters... hey guess what i was one of them...

but some of you are acting like lamar has always played this well! psssshhhh please! dont act like the lamar odom back then is the lamar you have seen lately... thats the only reason you are coming out now and saying "where are the lamar haters now?" could you have really called the lamar haters out like the way you do now when lamar played like crap?

All im saying is you cant blame the hate the lamar received just as the same way i cant blame everyone giving props to lamar now.

Go LO! i hope he keeps it up.

Alot of you are not giving enough props to ronny turiaf tonight people... other than his dumb pass at the end of the game this guy played amazing defense... he was blocking and changing shots all night!!!

but in all it was an amazing team effort...
alotta players came back and made up for their turnovers and mistakes.

Kobe taking those difficult shots, but knocked down those cold free throws to ice the game after getting cut and playing with a bad ankle.

Sasha with those ice cold 3's to make up for his turnover

lamar was a monster in OT after missing a free throw...

all im saying is that ive never seen a more never give up attitude than tonight... its alright guys... we wont have this heart attack games anymore... we have 3 guys that will make it easier when they come back one by one... no chris mihm isnt one of them hahaha. man walton sucks wtf!

Kobe did force the issue a little bit and for some reason Azubuike plays him pretty well on D. He defends that fadeaway shot almost to perfection yet Kobe keeps trying it over him. I think Kobe was trying to prove that he can hit one over him and he just kept shooting.

Whatever though I guess I cannot expect him to be perfect, the guy has saved us so many times.

Once again this game most likely took an additional 3-5 years of my life. Most of our guys went way too 3 point happy but Sasha and fish came through with some clutch shots.

Props to Odom once again for taking leadership of this game. I have had my fair share of bashing on him but this guy really came through. Although I was pretty piss that he missed a critical FT at the end as Baron most likely got to his head. Odom should have done the same thing back to him even though Baron always comes through in the cluthc.

Luke and Radman are still pretty bad.

You actually give yourself credit for an ingorant and low class post like this .
No wonder most boards think's Laker fans have no class and respect for others.

When you post crap like this, not only you make yourself look like an idiot and an A55 but you make the rest of US real Laker fans look like an A55 and lowclass fans .

You actually think we're going to give you props for posting this garbage ?

Man GROW UP . Please .

What's wrong with you .

I posted "Where are all the Lamar haters at now?" earlier in the thread somewhere. For all the crap he took, he usually finished seasons on a strong note, especially in the playoffs. These past two months he's been spectacular.

haha.. yeah, I recall the post and it makes a lot of sense. I too have been a long fan of LO. I, like most here m wanted him to play like this all the time. Its great too see and I hope not only can he keep this up during the reg. season and into the playoffs, but also next year too. He has closed out seasons in the past well and then the start of the next season he gets out of the blocks a little slow and the LO hate picks up again.

Congrats LO, keep up the no quit play.
Cheers. — Mags

I think the majority of the fans have wanted Lamar to be consistant more than anything else...

it's games like these that make people cringe because, in past Laker seasons, he's had these monster games then follows it up with a 7/7/4 (of course, not real numbers) game... his random mental lapses don't help either.

But, so far, since Pau came to the Lakers, Lamar has been consistant... a 10+/10/4+ guy... congrats. to him, but for his sake I sure hope he keeps it up.

Well that's the thing, every year Odom has a stretch when he plays very well, when everybody thinks he can be the 2nd option. This year, he's probably had his best stretch in his career, starting from the time when we traded for Gasol.

But can he sustain? Will he be consistent? Is this what we can expect every night for him?

It's kind of funny, sentiments about Odom always waxes and wanes, people claiming to be "right" about Odom whenever his play fits into their opinions of him. When Odom's playing well, the staunch Odom supporters suddenly pop out left and right. When Odom's playing poorly, the boo birds rear their ugly heads.

Ultimately, what that says about Odom is that he's inconsistent. Not game to game, but perhaps in stretches. He's had a long stretch now, so here's hoping he turned the corner.

Consistency is something you've got to prove every night, so it's up to Odom to make fans take his play for granted, and permanently change their opinions about him.

if lamar keeps this up till end of the season and postseason...are we finally able to label him as "consistant"?
