isn't it past the deadline for roster moves that can effect your playoff roster? if so, we shouldn't add anyone. no one out there is going to get minutes baring injuries. even if we somehow found someone who could crack the rotation, what do we do when we hit the playoffs and that guy is no longer eligible to play for us?

also, this doesn't open up a roster spot. at least i'd be surprised if it did. wouldn't webber lose out on the remainder of this year's salary if he retired effective immediately?

Only if the player was released by another nba team after march 1, then he is ineligible for the playoff. If he wasn't on an nba roster, then he is good to pick up and play.

Yeah if the Warriors want - and I don't think they do - they could sign Gary Payton on the last day of our regular season and he could play in the playoffs for us.

It's only a 10 day contract. We can get him back.

Whats funny is that the guy you linked to-- Randy Livingston-- is a 32 year old bum that is one of the many old bums to be tearing up the D-League (16ppg and 11apg).

Glad to see Webber gone...

As for his roster spot....? If Nelson only plays 7 guys then it doesn't matter really....

To late to sign someone. Best they can do is bring up POB.

Since Webber retired, they could should sign Gary Payton becuz he would be a valuable player off the bench and he's a veteran and could help in the playoffs.

Rod Benson is the most mention big man that wants to be called up but the other name I'd like is to sign a 10 day NBDL like Chris Alexander. No he's not Victor Alexander's cousin or brother. He's averaged 11.3per game,11.1rbs and 2.26BPG and shoots .709% FT...

And only 12 can suit up anyways (3 would be in street clothes). My guess is that POB will likely be brought up after the Jam season is done. The only way he sees the court though would be if there are a rash of injuries or if half the team were to contract gonorrhea or the Hong Kong flu.
