I dunno about 110 rebounds, thats a bit of a stretch.
Wilcox should be an all-star.....but like every says, no heart. If the right deal comes up, he's gone. Im sick of waiting for him to produce consistently, not have a big game here and there.

Wilcox should be an allstar the same way Marcus Banks and Gerald Green should be allstars. They have the athleticism and potential ...

28 minutes per game; 13.5pts 7 boards shooting 53% from field getting only 10 shots a game and you think you have to talk him up ? let me say this there are teams out there ready to steal him.....and thats a fact

If he runs the floor well he would do well with the 76ers. They are in bad need for a PF, and with alot of leaders on that team, he could fit in well there.

Yeah, we routinely see proposals involving Wilcox and Philly on the trade board, from people with names like IggytheBeast, IggytheKing, IggytheSavior, Iggythe800poundgorilla, etc. Some of them are decent offers, others less so. But Wilcox-to-Philly is definitely a plausible scenario.

I just posted this in the game thread (with Wilcox now officially out for the rest of the season), but I suppose it belongs here:

This team needs some defensive players big time. I hope we've seen Wilcox play his last game with this team. The last two years, his rebounding has declined each season and his turnovers have slowly raised from his first season here. Every preseason, he talks about becomming a shot blocker but has only managed to raise his average .1 per season to a whopping .6/gm career high average. See ya, Chris.

Do you think that Wilcox will, in fact, leave the Sonics or merely that he should leave?

Wilcox is the laziest defensive player in the league and will only hustle when there is a scoring, particularly dunking oppurtunity, if you want to be a good team you have to get rid of lazy players who only rely on their athleticism on the offensive end. Against the Suns Diaw dribbled by him and WIlcox started walking down the court even before Diaw scored, I was disgusted. This was in the 2nd quarter and Carlesimo took him out for the rest of the game. This guy really needs to get moved

He is going to want a bigger contract. I could see him being traded especially if the Sonics get Beasley. If the Clippers lose Brand send him back to them for a first. Then we could have two high picks. Hell, send Ridnour to the Knicks and let's draft a whole starting lineup. How about Beasley, Lopez and OJ Mayo to pair with KD and Green? Then we could add Kyle Weaver and Lester Hudson with the late picks. I am dreamin'.

Your last sentence says it all if you think we could trade a lazy overpaid big like wilcox for a top 6 pick then you don't know much also Ridnour for a top 5? what the hell are you smoking and you think mayo will fall to the 20 something pick. wow dude do some research and learn the league.

You're right. People who make $50,000 year and are lazy/inconsistent at their job don't get dissed. Instead, they get fired...

I guess this as good a place as any to discuss todays rumor section with the Bulls and trading Hinrich.

If Seattle falls below the #2 draft spot ( where they would surely take Derrick Rose with the #2 pick), would it be worth looking into trading for Hinrich, using Wilcox and Sene, as well as one of the other three first round picks from Phoenix and San Antonio as lures? Seattle could then use their pick on Brook Lopez and get both pointguard and center covered.

Of course that would mean Presti has to move either Watson or Ridnour.

Hinrich is one of those players who has fallen through the cracks this season with a poor showing after playing well in the past. I think he would do well with Durant, brings experience, and I'm not completely sold that any pointguard in this years draft besides Rose is going to be able to step into an NBA team and become the leader.

^^ Plus Hinrich had great chemistry with Nick Collison once upon a time. Interesting idea.
