I'm not surprised, those pyro guys were careless and they were probably the same guys responsible for the ring losing power for almost a half hour.

1. Is the Citrus Bowl the place UCF used to play? That place is garbage.

2. Someone on here should've warned us that Church street is one scary freaking place. If there weren't thousands of people around I'd have pissed myself.

3. The fireworks thing was pretty funny, in a warped sense of course. I noticed people getting hit by the fireworks and even saw the wires dislodge themselves.

4. The Ric Flair match was the only meaningful match of the night in my opinion, I actually was choked up over it. Money in the bank also delivered as usual. I'm not sure why it was so early, they eliminated both of the extreme matches right off the bat when they could've used them to vary the show which got repetitive.

5. Oh, and they paid Mayweather 20-million? Freaking A, he looked like a panzy. I highly doubt anyone bought this show because of this match.

What a lousy Wrestlemania. Definitely one of the worst in recent times, at least I got to see Ric's last performance.

Well most fans and critics are calling this one one of the best from top to bottom. Can't please everyone I guess. It seemed like last night, WWE took it old school to those WrestleMania 1-10 days. It was great.

LOL, it didn't help that I had a gun in my glove box and where I parked all the 'thugs' saw it as I put my 'valueables' in there with it (btw: no, it's not usually in my car, lmfao, and it wasn't for that purpose either, I had went shooting that weekend).

Maybe it was a better TV event but the crowd chanted boring and was entirely uninterested for the Finlay/JBL, Umaga/Batista, and even the triple threat sorely disappointed. The Mayweather match was regarded as a joke to the entire crowd as far as I could discern.

As a rundown of the card:

Finlay/JBL: 2 1/2 stars (blah......)
MITB: 4 stars (fun match)
Umaga/Batista: 2 stars (awful match, Umaga got more cheers after the initial batista 'pop' throughout the match)
Flair/HBK: 5 stars (best of the night)
Triple Threat: 3 stars (disappointed, expected greatness)
Mayweather/Big Show: 1 star (terrible, I mean wtf?)
Edge/Undertaker: 4 1/2 stars (amazing match)

I forget where exactly Kane/Chavo fell in there, but that 'match' sucked too and was utterly pointless.

The aftermath of seeing people get hit by fireworks really capped off the night before going into the hood to hopefully not be raped.

I was 6th row from ringside. Maybe the enjoyment of the show is different when you're closer. Being a lifelong wrestling fan, everything made sense last night. Other than the fireworks in the crowd. BTW have you guys seen the vids with the pyro incident and Undertaker's music playing? Crazy.

I had decent seats for a stadium, but they'd be pretty high up on a normal arena like Amway. I think it did take away from it though, many people around me we watching the monitors.

If you got the time I'm interested in your thoughts per match. Particularly on matches that I viewed as terrible; namely, Batista/Umaga and Mayweather/Big Show. Did the triple threat disappoint you as well? Various WM's have had much better triple threats and I don't think I've ever missed a WM -- heck, last the Angle/Mysterio/Orton match was better.

The good matches were very good (MITB, Flair/HBK, Edge/Undertaker) but the bad ones were also pretty bad (seen above). The midcard were all pretty pointless as well (Kane/Chavo, JBL/Finlay). I'm baffled as to how this WM can be regarded as so good.

IMO wrestlemania was really good. I enjoyed the Finlay/JBL match, as an overall I would give it a 7/10.

N4U, Church street isn't all that bad. I had memorable times there partying with my friends. I am pretty sure Church street has seen the last of Mezzy now that I'm married though :banghead:

Kent, I can assure you I don't care, I rarely find myself reading your posts anyway, so you can make it on mine and I wouldn't miss a beat.

Not that I feel this comment was warranted in any way, I wasn't aware that expressing an event was subpar for the history the event had was a reason to be badgered.

Answering this is beyond the scope of this conversation, but it wasn't intentional to have valuable things with me, lol.

LOL guys, I don't think Church is terrible in general, however, I was prepared for an area that could support the type of event that was going down. Raymond James in Tampa is about 10,000x better parking opportunities and you can walk there anytime without any type of fear.

The residents around Church were actually quite nice, they didn't mind pointing out alternative ways to get the hell out of there.

I was going to Wrestlemania at the great Citrus Bowl, I expected the nearby facilities to be nice, once you got off the John Young it was like WTF this is the hood and there's no parking except people's lawns??? I know people that were stuck in traffic for HOURS and there were only like 3 cops in total, the area was clearly not ready for this event and it showed. It was a joke, I don't know how many of you have been to similar sized shows but I've never experienced such bad nearby facilities.

If I were going to a UCF, or college in general, football game this is what I'd expect and it'd be OK, I guess like the fans saying the show was good (it was good in general) I'm simply holding the fact that it were Wrestlemania to a higher regard.

About a third of the Magic roster was at WrestleMania.
Magic Notes from Inside the NBA

* Hedo Turkoglu was close enough to climb into the ring at WrestleMania Sunday night at the Florida Citrus Bowl, but he shook his head Monday when asked if he gave any thought to climbing into the ring to deliver a whipping to any of the bad guys. "No, not interested. I had a fun time, it was a great show, but you wouldn't get me in there [ring]," he said after practice Monday. "Too rough. We don't have this kind of thing [back in Turkey]." Turkoglu was there with teammates Carlos Arroyo, Rashard Lewis, Jameer Nelson, Tony Battie and Pat Garrity, who all seemed to enjoy the show.
Lewis was asked if he got splattered with any fake blood? "No, that was the real thing," he said.

You are right N4U, Down Town Orlando and specially the Citrus Bowl is right in the middle of the Hood. One of the worse areas of Orlando easily, but you'll find out that there is more and more ghetto in Orlando every year. You have what was Pine Hills area expanding all the way through Kirkman and Conroy, what was down town hood is now expanding all the way to Sand Lake and John Young, there is the East side of Orlando by Seemoran and Colonial. Orlando is no longer Mickey's town, there is a lot of hood in this city

This comment would suggest otherwise.

Why you gotta shoot on UCF every opportunity? If it's a lesser school to you, I don't know why it'd be worth your time. It's just I don't appreciate when someone bashes my city. Sue me.

But anyway, I don't want to make this a rivalry because it isn't.

On another note though, I don't know who went to Monday Night Raw last night, because that was a moment we'll all remember when Flair gave his farewell address. It's definitely one the biggest moments I've ever been apart of.
