The Hall Calls Riley!! "In Riley We Trust"

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Fri Apr 4, 2008 5:26 am

The Hall Calls on our Beloved Pat Riley. Some People in Florida just don't know how good we have it till its gone. The guy is Miami. Pat Riley is a winner,A great Coach. Most people over look the greatness that is riley.
This man Earned A Pat Riley Presumption Tread.

Five NBA championships as a coach. Third all-time on the regular-season wins list, with 1,208. Second all-time in playoff victories with 171

And The best Part about the man is he is humble.

I look at it this way: I don't belong there,'' Riley said before Miami played host to the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night.

``I really believe in the coaching profession and what the word coach means, and the gentlemen that are in -- all the gentlemen that are in that Hall of Fame as coaches -- [I know] why they are deserving, and why I don't belong, but why I'm there.''

He had a quote recently about a "mosquito in a nudist colony" that made me chuckle lol...

My favorite Riley quote from back in the 90's:

"You only miss 100% of the shots you don't take.."

A life lesson. BOOYA!

Ricky Davis has on gone the record to say that riley is the best coach ever after those comment. With this years team riley would probley say
"You Can Win if the other team does not take any Shots"

I think Antoine Walker took the "You only miss 100% of the shots you don't take.." comment too literally when he came to Miami...

Am not to big on quotes, but my favorite strategy Pat ever did in a game, was vs Detroit Pistons in the ECF's. We were winning by a descent margin, and we started to hack a Ben. That was hillarious, because you usually only do those type of strategies, when you are losing, but Riley flip it, and did it with the lead. Ben totally missed his freethrows, and it seem to psychologically get to his head. It was pure brilliance, I thought that simple call, had a huge effect in that series.

I remember that like it was yesterday. After acouple of misses from Ben they started it on Shaq and Riley took him out lol But for like 30 Seconds it was just a hack-A-Game lol...

I remember watching the Heat live at GM Place in Vancouver once, and after the Heat came out, the Grizzlie's mascot came out with all the fur on the top of his head slicked back. The cameras all panned to Riley who just stared at him stone faced.
