That's a bit off. I've posted some trivia about this, but it gets lost in the 300 some pages. :)

These three were 22 or less:

Spencer Haywood (20) in 1969/70
Artis Gilmore (22) in 1971/72
NBA Wes Unseld (22) in 1968/69

The first two were in the ABA, so if Paul wins it, he'll become only the second 22-year old and the first in 4 freaking decades. Wow.

This is funny. You wanna know whats funny.

That Laker fans are all pissed off cause realgm internet talking heads representing other teams think Paul is MVP over Kobe.

I cant believe Laker fans are pissed off about it. Guys like CB4 of the Miami Shiyat and other fans of other teams. What you think??? You think these guys WANT Kobe to win MVP.

Even if Kobe were in top spot in the west, they'd discredit him.

Guys saying Kobe wasnt the hero last night for example?

EXCEPT HE WAS THE ONE GETTING DOUBLED 40 feet from the hoop so that Odom and Pau could play two man hot potato for a layup. You think that happens WITHOUT Kobe on the floor? LOL.

Thats whats funny about these guys. They'll Do ANYTHIGN to discredit Kobe and you guys take the bait.

Like trying to say....OH OH....the laker reserves cut the lead by 7 while Kobe was on the bench. WOW....REALLY?????

Like Paul wasnt getting outplayed by Rondo agasint Boston and Bonzi and the crew brought NOH back from a 15 point deficit against the LEAGUES BEST TEAM.

But, those things dont apply to Kobe.

When will you Kobe Homers wake up. THEY HATE THE GUY.

Not all of them, but those that dont, dont actually like the guy either.

So, for the LOVE OF GOD, let these guys have their say.
Just wait until Kobe wins the award, IF HE WINS IT, and then shove it down their throats so far, it'll make them want to hurl out of disgust and anger and there wont be A DAMN thing they can do about it.

All they'll hear is Kobe, Kobe, Kobe....and then in the playoffs, they will root for someone, ANYONE to beat the Lakers in the playoffs.

They'll root HARDER For Kobe to lose than they will for their OWN superstar favorite to win. They'll watch Laker games MORE FERVENTLY hoping to see Kobe lose than they will their OWN TEAMS' series hoping to see them win.

And then when Kobe actually DOES LOSE, they'll breath the biggest sigh of relief EVER EVNE IF Their own team is about to lose their own series.

AND WHY????

Because they HATE Kobe Bryant with such a venomous Fervor that that hate is trumps EVEN THEIR OWN LOVE for their own players and teams.

I hope you laker/kobe homers wake up and realize this. You know you're good when you have that.

Again, NOT all of them, but those that dont, dont actually care for the guy either. Dont believe me?? Put up a poll. Ask the question. Ask how many fans of OTHER teams actually like Kobe? Most will hate...and those that dont, will simply say they dont hate him, but that they dont care much for him either as a person....which seems to be the en vogue thing these days.

I knew about Haywood and Gilmore but left them off because they were in the ABA. I love the ABA, but I don't think they really had an argument for having the best player in the world until Julius Erving emerged.

Wes Unseld, I think you'll find that he was actually 23 by the end of his MVP season (as will Paul be if he wins). Unseld was born in March, Paul in May, so Paul would then be the youngest MVP in NBA history.

Regardless, even if I'm wrong, yeah, amazing accomplishment.

You wanna know whats comedy gold?

Thinking that the guy who scores the layup is the hero instead of the guy who is getting doubled 40 feet from the basket because the entire Mavs team is scared shtless because of him!

Thats what's comedy gold.

In case you didnt notice....the guy who makes the most impact on a game is the guy who gets double TEAMED AND OPENS the floor for the teammates to execute.

No one in the league gets doubled MORE than Kobe and Lebron.

NO ONE.

here's a bit more trivia

the hornets have been in first in the west since march 23rd

that's 13 days now

it's the second longest reign this season. san antonio went from november 25th to january 2nd, 38 days

the hornets have spent 35 days in first. the lakers, 18. the spurs have totaled 60. the rockets, 9, the suns, 28, mavericks, 3, jazz, 1, and clippers 2

the hornets have it locked up now at least until tuesday night. #1 has changed hands 28 times, not counting when it happens briefly in the middle of a night.

in the east boston has went wire to wire since opening night

Don't get too comfortable, because the Lakers are coming for that #1 spot!! (Ludacris tone).

The MVP race is officially down to 3 players.

- Paul
- Kobe
- Garnett

I'll stick with what I said before too, if Paul leads the Hornets to the #1 seed give the man MVP, otherwise give it to Kobe.

Officially? Was there a law passed or something? I'm sure other players will get top three votes. In fact, I'm sure LeBron will still get a couple first place votes.

Eh, Lebron's back looking bad. Lost to Orlando tonight. No chance at third seed. Will be lucky to get 46 wins.

Oh don't get me wrong some people will vote for Lebron but it's not like he deserves any 1st place votes. Not with the seasons superior players like KG, Kobe, and Paul are having.

I think KG and Paul will dominate the votes and there will be a massive margin between those 2 and whoever finishes 3rd.

First of all, I think the Lakers are going to finish ahead of the Hornets. Lakers have two opponents above .500 for the last six games. Hornets and Spurs.

The Hornets have Mavs on the road, Lakers on the Road, Utah and Golden State at home.

The Hornets are only 1 and 1/2 games ahead of the Lakers and more importantly the Spurs.

So, it is going to be difficult for the Hornets to maintain that 1 and 1/2 game lead. As early as tomorrow it could be a half game lead.

All I know is that WHEN the Lakers overtake the Hornets, I better see all you Paul people jump on the Kobe bandwagon.
