odom, farmar trade value

Post#1 » by PREDATOR » Wed Apr 9, 2008 12:27 am

what can lamar odom and farmar get for the lakers?

LAkers needs

an athletic 3 who can play d, shoot 3 and is young.
or a young pg who is athletic, can shoot, and is good defensively.

Lakers can add walton, radmanovic, mihm to make salaries match.

would

odom
farmar

for

gerald wallace
othello harrington

be fair? Lakers would then have to sign a backup pg with the midlevel/part of midlevel (duhon, lue, arroyo)

I'm pretty sure the Sixers would be willing to fill in as a 3rd team with cap space should Charlotte or whoever desire $11MIL in cap space instead of Lamar Odom.

That's awful for the Cats. Wallace has much more value than that...

Agreed. And as "generous" as Philly's proposal is, they're not going to get Lamar Odom for nothing.

Ford does not fit with the Lakers. I'm no expert, but I've been told the triagle system does not need a creative point guard, but rather one with an outside shot. Not to mention his value isn't all that high for us to get both Farmar and Odom, and dump Kapono [even if we get Luke back].

Stuckey/Farmer
RIP/Affalo
Prince/Ariza
Odom/Maxiell/Johnson
Wallace/McDyess

Still opens up the Pistons for another trade. Need to get younger...

Why are Lakers fans panicking? Two of their best defenders (Ariza and Bynum) are out and thats why they are struggling with defense.

BUT if you Must acquire needs:
Gasol, Farmar, Ariza for Deng, Hinrich

Bulls other deals
Hughes, #9, for Redd
Thomas, Noce, Gooden for Toronto #1 (b. Rush), Ford, Rasho

LAKERS
Hinrich/Kobe/Deng/Odom/Bynum starters
Fish, Sasha, Ronny, Walton, Vlad bench

BULLS
Ford/Redd/Ariza/Gasol/Noah
Rush, Farmar, Rasho, Thabo off the bench
...

lakers dont have a 1st this year, and if we give up ariza then we have luka and walton at the 3. Trade also doesnt work in trade checker.
counter with

billups
amir johnson

for

odom (contract also expires)
farmar
mihm (expiring next year)
2nd rounder

^Good deal for both IMHO, if the Pistons bomb out in the 2nd round.

In other words, you want to trade your SF for a better one and your PG for a better one. Might be tough finding a trade partner.

yes, but combining the two makes it attractive to another team. A perfect trade would be a 2 for 1 with the lakers getting the latter. Or the pistons deal i suggested earlier.
