Kobe is generally known to not be a smack-talker, actually. But ever since he couldn't smack-talk the refs, I guess his new channel is his opponents.

Gary Payton and MJ were the smack-talker extraordinaires of their generation, btw.

I'm tired of these girls coming in here and whinnying on how they don't like Kobe's intensity or desire in the game and blah blah blah!

What do they want, him to be like Duncan and keep his head down the whole time?

NBA players voted Kobe the most intimidating player in the league for a reason. He's just unflappable. I've seen players use all kinds of tactics to get under his skin but it doesn't work. He just comes back at them.

I'm sorry you love your superstar that much. Man, you can't even admit these little things about your favorite player. Kobe is my favorite player, and I'm admitting that he was a little cocky for this game.

Out of the top 25 players of all time, outside of Wilt(which is why I do not consider him the best ever) is Kobe the worst when it comes to the playoffs? I know he is glorified because they won the three rings, and he was a pretty big part of it(he was still second fiddle). But he is yet to get out of the first round (which makes him no different to a Tmac at this point) post Shaq and as the man. His numbers take a pretty big dump compared to the rest of the league come playoff, and today was just another example.
.

It makes him no different than TMac? He has 3 rings, that's a big difference, second fiddle or not. If Kobe got his rings as a freakin bench player then that argument would make sense, but throughout the 3peat he was making big shots left and right so get out of here with that.

Kobe's bad game kind of helps Lakers in a way. Denver is going to keep KMart on Kobe which opens everything up for LO and Pau. LO dominates Carmelo all night long which results in Pau getting easy 2 footers. Denver essentially has to pick their poison. Which one's going to more damage, Carter/Smith/Kleiza on Kobe or Carmelo on LO.

I don't care if he's your fav player! You come in here and complain that Kobe's being too cocky and crap. What did he do, yap at the fans or shake his own head? So what, it's not like he went to K-Mart and started waving his finger at him!

KG screams and get angry, do you not like him? Just about every player has some type of anger in his so what's wrong with unleashing it? When I saw Kobe get mad in Utah, that got me going as a fan and if I'm his teammates, I'm excited cause I've got the best player on my team to show that we aren't soft, rather we're competitive and here to win!

But if you don't want that winning mentality then that's your choice!

I'm just stating my opinion of it. I don't really like cockyness especially when you are blowing out another team.

Jordan also punched Steve Kerr, his own teammate and one of the least disagree people in league history, in the face. Extremely competitive people sometimes do and say things they otherwise might not. Kobe is no different.

There is no such thing as a perfect player. Whatever Kobe does, there will be people that don't like him for it. I know if he suddenly became boring and never talked to anyone, I wouldn't like it.

I can see why opposing fans don't like Kobe though. You hate when an opposing player is good and knows it. It's easy to hate a guy like that. But every single one of those fans would love to have a guy like that on their team.

Well, I personally like a quiet, brooding Kobe myself, and not the over-swaggered Kobe. I prefer him stay as silent as possible and channel his energies on attacking the rim.

I can't convince you Laker fans. It's the opposite feeling for you. I'll just pretend like I never stated my opinion.

lol like I said there's no perfect player. People like some players for the same reasons others might not like them. I love it when Kobe's riled up, personally. But yeah he can be the silent assassin at times, I guess.

I think some Laker fans just get annoyed when people hold Kobe to a double standard. He can do the same thing as other players and get criticized or hated for it, while it goes completely unnoticed when other stars do it. But that is just the scrutiny that comes with being the most talented player in the league.

Did you just see KG yelling and screaming in a blow out against ATL? He was screaming and yelling in Powes face and didnt let him up for a second as he pounded the chest of Powe in a blow out.
