How dumb do you have to be to say that. Once again people think that just because the Lakers are in L.A. that must be the only reason players come here. Like we haven't drafted well or make smart trades or free agent signings. Yeah location does have a lot to do with player movement along with money, but the chance to win is the main factor the Lakers will always be able to get players.

Uhhh ok so how do those dumbasses in Denver explain what is going on in New York? The Knicks are in New York so why are they being punished like they were located in Denver?

Wow just wow... Kobe tried making a finger gun and he couldn't even flex his pinky. It's incredible that he's just got a digit hanging there like that and he can still shoot like he does. Great win tonight.

No a series doesn't begin until the home team losses a game. All the Lakers did was what they were suppose to do and that was win both at home.

And talkin trash is just a part of basketball, always have and always will.
If the Nuggets don't want Kobe to talk shut him down with some D.

That usually is true when a road team steals game 1 or 2. When we are up 2-0 and the trash talking is heating up, this series has started. Don't tell me this series will start if the Lakers win game 3 on Saturday. If the Lakers go up 3-0, the series is on the verge of being over not the beginning. Case in point, this particular series has begun.

Trash talking is part of the game, but this is getting kind of unnecessary. We don't want a Wizards/Cavs type series where we are risking injuries now.

every time i read other fan bases talk about the lakers, sports shows talk about the lakers, i realize how overrated lamar odom's offensive game is as far as scoring goes. he's a very good and willing passer, he's a great rebounder, for his size he's elite at starting the break, but he's not a very good scorer. people talk about him like he'll kill your team with his shot.

Sweet girl; I see you're giving her a good head start in life. I admire and appreciate your parenting skills.

---

I fully expected Kobe to bounce back with a more efficient and intelligent game, and damn...he didn't disappoint did he?

The scoring is one thing; he got hot, hit some ridiculous shots, that's just what he does. But the 10 dimes -- love it, love it, love it. Totally different mindset from Game 1. Aggressive but controlled, efficient yet voluminous.

He might not get that super-hot every night, but he can always be a table-setter for his teammates. A virtually flawless performance from an all-time great. (Do that against Bowen and the Spurs, and I'll really be impressed.)

Major props, too, to Puke, er, Luke Walton. I've gotten to the point where I bury my face in my hands every time he shoots. But he's had two excellent all-around games in a row.

Son of Bill through two: 34 pts, 11 rbs, 10 assts, 68.4% FGs
Anthony through two: 53 pts, 17 rbs, 4 assts, 41.3% FGs

Not too shabby.

Yep, his all-around game is fantastic, but everything he gets scoring-wise is kinda garbage, a la Cedric Ceballos -- fast breaks, cuts to the rim, putbacks, the occasional fluke jumper. Ask him to be a consistent offensive contributor in a go-to role, and he's going to disappoint you big-time. Which is why he's been fitting in so well. Bryant and Gasol handle the major scoring responsibility, and Lamar can sit back and fill in the blanks.

lamar lamar, lamar. this is the time we need to bring your A game. please do not go into one of your lapses when we face stiffer competition. i'm holding out the peace flat and hoping for the best. but sometimes, you just seem braindead at times, and X yourself out of a game. he was on a roll. and then . . . again . . . out of nowhere goes boneheaded again. total non-factor. i'm going to watch with anticipation in the next game, to see if lamar brings energy and passion to his game, and comes in on fire to take down denver at their place.

Great game.
Denver gave it all they had. They actually played well. And the Lakers still won going away.
So far the Lakers have clearly been the best team although shooting all those 3s always makes me a bit nervous.
The Lakers will need to make some adjustments for game 3 which may have a totally different complexion than the first 2. They'll have to get of to a good start and play beter defense.
What a joy to watch these Lakers play. Great team basketball.

Great win. It was a must win, too.

Kobe is from planet Xyrx. What a performance!
