ZAZA IS A MAN!!!
i know Hawks fans have mixed opinions on Zaza, and some fans flat out hate him..... but Zaza is not just a basketball player, he is a MAN.
i don't care what bone head thing Zaza does from now on, Zaza is da man, and i'm proud he is a Hawk
Dirk got his face taped and backs down..... and Zaza gets into Mr Future HOF face and backs him down after a punk btch play.

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it was some kind of stupid joke. You cannot be as ugly as Zaza and be a woman.
Seriously, I think you guys are giving props to Pachulia for the wrong reasons. When he stood up to KG he wasn't really asserting his manhood; he was actually trying to rile him up to get him ejected. I don't really understand why he barely played in the second half. Not that it did not work out well for the Hawks.

mis-interpret any way you want, Zaza showed that he doesn't care who you are, scrub or HOFer, you are not going to throw an elbow into his face and get away with it.
but what was even better, is that KG actually took a step back.

ZaZa has been a joke for Atlanta all year long. I truly feel Atlanta fans and ZaZa's teammates needed to see ZaZa step up the way he did. It would be expected for ZaZa to back down from a future HOF'er, but that's not the case, and I believe it fueled the fans/players.

Zaza was great tonight. He did the right thing. He wasn't trying to get Garnett ejected, he was letting him know that our young Hawks have a lot of pride and heart, so no one will/should mess wuth us. I think Horford's attitude in that final game against Boston in the regular season and then in game 1 brought the best in our team. I'm so proud of our guys !
GO HAWKS.

No...we are praising him because KG try's to play this tough guy image when he's not that tough. I think the media has the perception that the Hawks are scared of KG(the sports guy said they peed in their pants whenever KG talked trash). He threw an obvious elbow in Zaza's face after the play for no reason and Zaza got in his face and just stood there. KG has been doing this for years...trying to play the role of the crazy tough guy but when some 1 gets back in his face he usually stands there ala when Anthony Peeler two pieced him on National TV.

Again, you can't exaggerate the impact of veterans here, something that surfaced in Game 2 as a central theme -- the Celtics were furious about a hard foul that briefly sent Pierce to the locker room in the first half, so they spent the second half banging bodies, doling out retaliatory clotheslines, talking trash and intimidating the young Hawks in every way possible. [b]TCIKG (The Completely Insane Kevin Garnett) was leading the way, as always, and other than Al Horford (a tough cookie who's going to be great), none of the young Hawks seemed interested in escalating things, getting each other's backs, sticking up for themselves, responding or even making eye contact with TCIKG. If anything, they went the other direction -- I think poor Marvin Williams peed his pants at one point. [/b[And if Rondo had been drafted by the Hawks two years ago, he would have been right there with them: Looking like a deer in the headlights, just waiting to get the hell out of Dodge.
Well? Zaza "escalated" things and The Crazy Insane Kevin Garnett stood there looking *****made. He has Celtics fans thinking he's something he's not.

The only advantage the Celtics have
is the home court. Good thing, because this could be very embarrassing for KG, who hasn't really proven his worth come playoff time.
Zaza defended himself, and didn't try to get Garnett thrown out. He stood his ground for the cheap shot Garnett took, and it energized his team.
KG is the one who is going to look bad if they don't win this series.

Horford sent the message last game, Zaza of all people sent it tonight. Zaza is terrible: he turns the ball over all the time, takes dumb jumpers, can't rebound, and would rather pretend he got fouled than make a layup. But he showed tonight how much he cares about this team, and for that he will always have my respect and hopefully the respect of our fans.

How do people not like Zaza?! He's terrible, of course. But he's hilarious to watch. He's a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) elephant. I'm pretty certain he has killed a man with his bare hands.

IMO, there's been a concerted effort to intimidate the Hawks players all series long and I think it is backfiring on the Celtics. If they had just been business like they might have swept the Hawks just on our team's lack of experience.
