Hawks' dynamic duo delivers

Post#2 » by Jamaaliver » Tue Apr 29, 2008 5:24 am

Alright. I'm convinced. I have, for years, been in favor shipping off Josh Smith for a more expereinced and traditional NBA vet. After tonight's Game 4 win against the mighty Boston Celtics, I concede.

Josh Smith is one of the pillars of this team now.

I read an article that stated Smoove and Johnson were our version of Pippen Jordan this weekend. A bit of a reach, but still.......man, they were incredible Monday night. I hope Belkin saw that game live as well.

Now, what can make us better? What addition to our roster next year makes us even more formidable? Seems like a 3 point shooting defensive specialist to take over at SF.

Someone in the mold of Bruce Bowen/Rick Fox.
Shane Battier seems like a good fit. Unselfish, experienced, a winner.

Anybody else unable 2 sleep? Got any random thoughts, comments?

LOL, I'm sure HMFFL will. It's a very tongue in cheek statement.

It was Mark Bradley of the ajc who made the comment.

who knew this much-lampooned roster was housing a latter-day Jordan and Pippen?

They might want to reinstate drug testing at the AJC.

Haha...

Gotta give Joe and Josh credit for dominating the Cs in the fourth though, those two guys are real players.

My observation from the game. Joe Johnson is an all-star and Josh Smith is a very good player. But last night, Smith played like an all-star (which he will be, maybe sooner than most people think) and Johnson played like a superstar. That will go down as one of the best 4th quarter performances in playoff history.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go throw up.

The way Josh is playing is very similar to Deron Williams last year in the playoffs.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
