Are you saying Pargo should be MVP?

Did anyone else see how good Jannero Pargo has been, dropping midrange J's like nothing?

Let's remember that there is a reason that Pargo shot 39% FG on the season and for his career is an ~40% FG shooter. No one contends that he can get hot, but using Pargo as an argument is not valid, there is also a reason he was 1-9 in game 1 and New Orleans was fine. Pargo is an alright player, if he's hot, he's good, it not, not so much.

Is Kobe MVP yet?

In 3 games, avg: 34/5/6/1/1 on 50 32 and 86%
4th game: 31/7/6/3/2 on 50 40 and 40%(ew)

You act like Chris isn't putting up numbers

24.8/4.3/11.3 on 49.3%/12/85% 2 steals, .5 blocks 1.50 TO's

Kobe is:

33.5/5.3/6.3 50%/33/73 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks. 2.75 turnovers

This is your MVP argument?

Seeing as how CP was rendered marginally effective the past two games, and the Lakers swept AND Kobe has been d'ing up the likes of AI, JR Smith, and Kleiza--yes.

both are playing great in the playoffs.

both were deserving in the regular season.

Don't take away anything from either player, thats stealing jobs from haters. Besides, the playoffs are not part of a regular season award.

it's just not the scoring or numbers. I think some people dwell too much into that. Just watch the 4th quarter of yesterday and check out the play by play of the game against denver for an example. This has been a typical thing all season long. He just takes over the 4th and blows the opposing team out. Something like 14 points in 4 minutes, hitting jumpers after jumpers, breaking the d for an and-1 and a key steal down the stretch. The impact of kobe is far greater than paul.

Yeah but CP is a better player than Kobe Bryant. His production is better!

We know! There's always some context to look at, and Kobe is the only guy that does things that don't show up on the stat sheet!! He's the best player, so that obviously means he effects every game more, no matter what happens!!

I honestly think Kobe will take the MVP, and he deserves it if he gets it, but I hope he doesn't just to watch you guys cry about it.

Crying? Doubtful. We'll see you guys in the WCF. Maybe Bynum will be available to join the party? If not, at least Ariza will be. Cannot wait.

I think the entire state of Louisiana would simultaneously give Paul fellatio if he won MVP.....

Half the state of Louisiana doesn't know who Chris Paul is ^^

Paul has gathered a following, but there are actually Kobe fans that believe he is a better athlete than Vince Carter. No fan base can compare to the Kobe homers on this site, but I think it's all balanced out by B-Scott.

You coulda fooled me. Every time Paul plays the story line is he saved the city of New Orleans, built 400 houses with his bare hands, and given people a reason to live again.

There are people who actually believe Paul is already as good as Isiah, Stockton and Magic......
