Well after game 4 a lot of media "experts" were apologizing for selling the Hawks short. The result was a game 5 beat down from the Celtics at their place. Not a surprise really as it was a road game and even with home success I didn't figure they would magically know how to win on the road.
Now coming back home for game 6 all I see is predictions that Celtics are going to take care of business and end it on Friday. The Celtics have their swagger back. Maybe the "experts" are right. Maybe the Celtics come in and jump out to a big lead. Even if that happens, I know I'm going to be at Philips yelling my butt off. What I'm hoping this media shift back to the Hawks not having a chance in game 6 galvanizes Josh, Joe and the rest Hawks into playing their hearts out on Friday and shocking the world again.
I'm going back to my Rocky analogies. Before that first fight he told Adrienne than he just wanted to go the distance because no one had every done it against Creed before. The Hawks can't win the series Friday, but they can make it go the distance with a win. That's all I really want for our young team, to go the distance. Defend the home court. Don't get knocked out. Then they can experience a 7th game where anything can happen because both teams are facing elimination.
Boston is a 66 win team and they will likely make a run or two on Friday. Us Hawks fans in attendance on Friday can't lose confidence and go silent. We have be loud regardless and try to pick the guys up if things get tight or even if they go south. I'm not normally a cheerleader type (more of a reserved watcher), but I'll be supportive, rowdy, and yelling until the final bell. Who's with me?

Wish I could be there but yall already sold the game out so I'm not concerned about the arena being packed.
My concern at this point is that the Hawks' players think that even if they manage to win Friday they have no chance of winning at the Garden.
Hopefully they can play with that same "nothing to lose" attitude that won them games 3 and 4 because, in reality, they don't have anything to lose.
The Celtics are still trying to bully the Hawks (and the refs - apparently there is an NBA ordenance against T-ing up KG), the guys should think of Friday as a platform to show the NBA that the Hawks are tired of being pushed around.

They already established that in the two wins. The Hawks played with confidence and high intensity knowing the crowd is with them... they need to think that the crowd is still with them when playing on the road.

My point is that they can't think they've proved enough yet, they still have to be hungry.

Valid concern, but it really shouldn't be an issue. If they focus everything on Friday and can win, it doesn't matter how they've been playing on the road. Everything is different in a game 7. It's a whole different level of pressure and it's pressure on both teams instead of just one.

If you can fly down, I'm sure I can find you something in the building.
Or you can roll the dice on the miracle happening and fly down for the next series when we do another group.

Haha, I'd fly down if I didn't have to be in the office for a little bit this weekend.
If we make it to the next round I'm taking a week off and hitting both home games!
EDIT: I just found out that my little sister is in town with her boyfriend and they, plus my mom, are going to the game. The world is not fair to me.

Last night didn't change my feelings about this series. We need to force a game 7. If we do, ALL the pressure is on them. I know it's cliche, but it is true that anything can happen in a game 7. But we've got to get there first.
I like what JJ said. All we have to do is do what we did in games 3 and 4, and we should be headed back north.

Fair enough.
EDIT: That is injustice.
