It would be great if Houston could steal a game or two against Utah... would give Ariza (and possibly Bynum too) more time to recover.

Has anybody else notice that there really hasnt been a Bynum update since he went to New York? Why is Ariza with the team and Bynum isnt? Does this bother anybody else?

^^ Like that new single from Ray J - Sexy Can I. Hell Yea that bothers me!!!

It does, but in the same breath it doesn't. Maybe its a good thang. The Lakers win, the focused gets taken away from Bynum and that may lift any pressure on the kid to comeback to prematurely. Ya dig?

Then again, the kid maybe done and they just wanna keep the speculation going to keep teams guessing? Sounds wack, I know but thats all I got right about now...

Ariza is expected to go full throttle by next week and should be ready for game 2 if everything goes on well.

Go Houston keep that series going and Ariza will be back to lock someone down for round 2.

Houston needs to push that puppy 7 to Sunday! That'll put gm 2 of the next round way back to Fri May 9 u plenty of time for Ariza.
And that'll push the WCF to May 17 or 18, all the better for Bynum. Go Rockets.

There should be an update soon because before the Denver series they ruled him out for it so maybe before the 2nd round they will make an announcment.

Matt Money Smith said he is going to have a CT scan a week from friday so that would be 5-9 and that should clear him to play. He could of got his fridays mixed up though. He said Ariza is already doing basketball related drills. They had a taped interview from him at the Lakers practice yesterday and Ariza said he felt good. This was all on PMS around 5:15 last night.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere... some very bad news.

Per LA Times:
It sounds like remote just turned into extremely remote.

"I doubt there's going to be a comeback this year," Andrew Bynum said Friday. "I've got to get my knee straight. At this point, I'd have to train for a good month just to be able to go out there and play."

There are no plans for the injured Lakers center to begin practicing any time soon. If the Lakers eventually advance to the NBA Finals, the earliest start date would be June 3.
