There's a lot of bigs available in the mid-late 1st (McGee, Lopez, Hibbert, Ajinca, Tomic, Pekovic), so I wouldn't rule out Koufos falling in the 2nd.

There is NO way Koufus doesnt go top 20--won't happen. How many skilled 7-1 players are there presently living ion the world? I know the draft is deep at the 5 slot but Koufus has so much ability that he will be among the top 20. The good thing is most teams need bigs---most drafts you dont get a chance to geta quality big around the 15-20 area. If Koufus continued to play like he did at the end of the season all next year he would be lock top 5 pick.

Agreed. He will fall no further than 20, and possibly goes in the lottery. He was smart to leave when he did.

I wonder if Koufus will be better than bargnani by year 2. He's much more physical inside and doesnt rely oin the jumper nearly as much as Anrdrea. And you can get him in the high teens???

I am really concerned how Koufos will pan out. Right now, he fits the skilled but softish center mold that ends being a bust a lot of the times. He needs to become tougher and learn better the team offense game, also develop a winning mentality. Playing in Greece for a couple of years would do wonders for his game and give him a better preparation for the NBA, it would be better than stagnating sitting on the bench and waiting for a chance as a rookie. If he chooses to go straight to the NBA, which is the most likely scenario, i think we are looking here for a five-year project at least.

I drool to think of him playing along side Dwight. If he falls to the Magic they had better take him!

I don't see him falling past Cleveland because Cleveland loves to pick and pop with their bigs, so he definitely will not go outside the top 20, but there are a few teams that could legit want to take a look at him before:

14. Golden State
They really only have one center and Kosta would be a good option and the exact player that could be great off the bench in a three man rotation with Wright-Biedrins down the line.

15. Phoenix
They love shooting big men and considering they really don't have a C on the roster after Shaq, it could make sense to see them take one here.

17. Toronto
Maybe they bring him because they feel AB never will be that guy and to have two seven footers who can shoot could lead to a trade.

19. Cleveland
Already explained.

22. Orlando
ZERO possibility that he falls past here, one percent chance the Magic have a shot to take him without a trade.
