Is Ariza expected to return and play in the series against the Jazz? I know everyone talks about Bynum but Ariza can play...

I didn't see it yesterday during the game, but I just watched the Replay of Jazz and Lakers and help me if I'm wrong; I see Bynum in the mix of the group little dance pump up before game, the one were Odom was in the middle yelling, and all his teammates huddled, on the floor, and Bynum was apart of this jumping and sliding all the way around the circle before the game w/ his suit on....

Just to add fuel to the conspierecy but it was defientnly him.....looking limber.....

You don't think we would? MVP guard allstar Center, allstar PF plus Odom and Fisher to round off the starting lineup with Phil at the helm and a bench to boot? Could any other team lose an allstar center and come in first and sweep a 50 win team? Imagine how many wins if we had him and Gasol from the start? Alot of wins.

This is the whole update but if you guys want a link here ya go.

Andrew Bynum is seeking another medical opinion on his injured knee, the Lakers announced on Monday. He isn't expected to return during the playoffs, and the need for another examination raises concerns that his rehab isn't going very well.
Bynum is struggling to put his full weight on the knee, and one-on-one drills have caused swelling. He has one year left on his contract, after which he becomes a restricted free agent. The Lakers were expected to offer him an extension this summer, but his knee injury could derail that plan. We should have an update soon

I've had a bad feeling about this for a month. I have a gut notion, for no concrete reason, that this injury is a sign of things to come, a la Grant Hill. Just bad news that nobody can seem to get a handle on this thing and get him on the road to recovery.

Bynum wouldhave been great against possible matchups against Tyson, Wallace, and Z with his athleticism, length, and fouls.

yesterday on pms kurt rambis said that ariza is going to get checked out on friday and if all goes well he could be playing saturday night.

regarding bynum, he said he's going to have a third opinion. he said that they tried to slowly bring bynum along, always going by how much swelling/pain drew had. he said that as they tried to increase, the swelling and pain prevented any further progress. the 3rd opinion is to see if he might need some surgery to help the process along. the appointment was on monday and the results were suppose to be known today.

Latest news on Bynum:

Center is considering arthroscopic procedure, and getting another medical opinion, to help determine what is wrong with his ailing left knee.
By Steve Springer, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
6:50 PM PDT, May 7, 2008
The injured left knee of Laker center Andrew Bynum has shown some improvement, but if there is no further progress in the next three to four weeks, Bynum might undergo arthroscopic surgery, according to Laker spokesman John Black.

The diagnosis was made by knee specialist Steven Gecha on Wednesday in his Princeton, N.J., office

They need to get this done now!!!

I read on LG that he'd need 6-8 weeks to recover after surgery. I don't think anything is wrong with waiting another 3 weeks since they've already waited for 4 months...
