Very interesting name on the early entry list -
http://www.draftexpress.com/article/200 ... try-List-/

Victor Claver, Pamesa Valencia (Spain)

I suspect he's just doing it to get his name out there, but a definite talent ...

WARNING: BLATANT SPECULATION

There is a rumour that the Spurs have issued a promise to an international prospect... DX says Omri Casspi. Would you make a promise to Casspi to get him to stay in? Especially with the likelyhood of some pretty good wing prospects ending up late in this draft (eg. Bill Walker, Courtney Lee, Kyle Weaver ...).
I wasn't expecting Claver's name in this draft, now that they have limited the # of times a Euro can withdraw. Do you think the Spurs might have issued that promise of theirs to a prospect other than Casspi? Say to Claver? I'm not sure that I would bite on that if I was Claver, but it certainly would be a good situation to land in.

Mario Chalmers and Darrel Arthur. Both KU guys are extremely underrated.

Are you kidding?

I've followed Claver for about 3 years now and I'm a big fan. However, he's definitely not a top 10 pick.

Marreese Speights is being seriously underrated for no apparent reason. He could well end being a massive steal for someone.

I think DJ White is probably the most underrated. The guy is a supremely skilled bigman with very good athleticism and a solid defender. I wouldn't be surprised to see him round into a 15pt 10rb player a few seasons into his career.

The only players to average 15/10 this season:

Antawn Jamison, WAS
Shawn Marion, PHX / MIA
Zach Randolph, NYK
Carlos Boozer, UTA
Yao Ming, HOU
Al Jefferson, MIN
Tim Duncan, SAS
Chris Kaman, LAC
Dwight Howard, ORL

I highly doubt DJ White will produce the same stats as these guys. He'll be lucky to put up Paul Millsap-like stats (8 ppg, 5 rpg).

Not a joke at all....I'm serious when I say I have him #9-10 as a prospect (big board we're talking, not mock when teams are considered)

19 year old Spanish prospect. He is 6'10 and weighs 220-225. An ultra fluid athlete that also possesses the necessary explosiveness to effectively translate his game to the NBA, mainly his nice first step ability. Extremely advanced ball skills and, most importantly, the feel and basketball IQ to take advantage of them for both his own offense and creating for others. A good tweener, in that he can effectively play both the 3 and 4 positions and poses different types of match up issues for opposing coaches at each position. Possesses a great physical frame that should fill out nicely (not a AK-47 type at all) and personally I see his greatest competitive advantage being at the 4 spot but he would initially struggle guarding the post. A good stand still jump shooter but less so on the move at this point. Overall, especially given the limited number game films that I have been able to get my hands on, based on my gut feelings on the guy, I think he is going to be a serious player down the line. Very competitive kid.

He will eventually be a starting point guard in this league.

I doubt Claver will stay in this draft... he has the potential to be a Top 15 pick the next year... he's athletic and has good skills, no way he slips in the late first round.

Keith Brumbaugh will be a starter in the NBA one day. Mark my words.

A real starter...or a Chris Quinn starter?
