So if I were to trade him would he only have his 2.4 million dollar outgoing value?
no, he has a Poison Pill Provision (similar to what Devin Harris had in his contract as a kicker when I acquired him), meaning his salary figure for the incoming team is the average annual salary of his new contract extension, while his original salary prior to the extension is the figure you put as outgoing from your own side.
since his contract is like this (courtesy of Shamsports):
Al Jefferson: Drafted 15th overall in 2004. Signed to rookie salary scale contract for that year. Signed a 5 year, roughly $65 million extension in October 2007.
this assumes that his average salary will be 13 million per year, which is the figure THE RECEIVING TEAM gets (meaning if you traded him to Boston, it shows as 13 million INCOMING, while it is still 2.4 million OUTGOING from your side), thus, some tricky balancing will be required.

I know that but RealGM has Harris listed as PPP but they don't have Jefferson... so my question FOR THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE is are we following what RealGM has posted and Jefferson isn't PPP or are we considering him PPP
I came off as kind of a jerk after rereading what I wrote... what I'm wondering is can bryant or clyde make a ruling on this since I don't know if it's realgm's mistake or if there's a reason that jefferson isn't PPP... and if realgm did make a mistake, if we are following realgm completely and the mistake doesn't matter or if he will be considered PPP

sorry to be so assertive, but if you remember from a week ago I was made one of the co-commishs, but its almost certain that RealGM did make a mistake with their tradechecker regarding big Al, as ESPN's tradechecker (the one I use) has him with a PPP in his contract, so I'd just like to point that out in case theres a problem with the legitimacy of the trade engines.skorff26 wrote:I know that but RealGM has Harris listed as PPP but they don't have Jefferson... so my question FOR THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE is are we following what RealGM has posted and Jefferson isn't PPP or are we considering him PPP

I also agree on the motion that Bryant08 should have a look regarding this.
