How Come Our Players Don't Like Passing To Ray?
the only time Ray Allen gets the ball is when they run that curl play off the pick for him. that's it.
iv seen occasions where KG is doubled and wont kick out to him. Rondo will go to the basket, ray's defender will help, and rondo won't kick out. Pierce would rather drive on Lebron than have Ray drive on Wally.
I dont get it. You can't blame him for being out of synch.

i've seen ray allen in the past, and have never thought of him as a poor dribbler. ball handling has a lot to do with sharpness and confidence.... neither of which are things that ray has right now.
his shooting is also confidence related. i think he's feeling underappreciated and under-utilized. you cant use someone that scored 26ppg last year as a "bruce bowen" that simply waits on the arc for an open jumper.

it's actually a proven fact that over this season, when ray's gotten more touches and shot attempts, he's had more efficient, and more "all star like" games.
and if you havent noticed... when ray is involved in the offense, we are MUCH more difficult to beat .

I don't know why you talk about Basketball, you haven't a clue of what the game is...
Back to the topic, I don't think they don't pass to allen for a reason, simply they don't have a great court vision...

I noticed throughout the season that Pierce often failed to pass to ray and I've seen it again in these playoffs. it could be that with ray struggling Pierce doesn't feel he's a good option. it could be that ray is being guarded tightly ( which he is). It could also be that Doc has done a piss poor job of designing plays for Ray and it could be that Ray has lost a step as well as some elevation and that it's harder for him to get open. I think all of those things are true. Ray is still a very valuable player but next year, assuming he's here. he should be the 6th man a la manu ginobli. he should be the focus of the second unit. One thing Ray has done well despite his poor shooting, tunrovers etc is that he has passed the ball pretty well. I was encouraged in the last game to see him go to the hole. I was ( and have been all season) discouraged by his inability to finish around the basket. At times I think Ray is so caught up in looking cool, calm and composed that he plays soft. He isa finesse guy but I think he needs a little nasty in his game. Given his OCD the guy needs everything to line up the right way for him in terms of routine etc. The playoffs take you out of your routine. games are at odd times, there is more travel involved etc. I think there are a lot of factors hurting Ray's play right now. He is clearly pressing and it's forcing him to miss shots he should make. I'm not sure I see him playing any better throughout these playoffs but as long as the other team is respecting his shooting then he's a good decoy for us.
