Laker second round award

1. Kobe .... MVP awesome
2. Fisher .... Killer Sniper and great Job on Dwill
3. Gasol .... Great passing and finishing
4. Odom .... Killing boozer and job on the boards
5. Sasha .... 6th man award.
6. Radman no show the firs 4 games but showed up when it mattered the most

Hats off to the Jazz for making a great comeback. Understandably, it's a disappointing loss, but they showed a ton of character by battling until the end. I knew this game would turn out to be a nail-bitter down the stretch.

GL next season, and thanks for a competitive series.

Horry would not do that. Too many wars those two have gone through together.

He might cop some stick, but it's a bit unfair. I think he was exposed as merely a star - as opposed to a supernova - in this series. You can't hate a guy for not being good enough. The posters deriding his effort need a reality check.

And you should remember that Boozer was matched up on Yao Ming, Chuck Hayes, Al Harrington and Matt Barnes last season.

Deron and Mehmet would be perfect in the triangle

Yeah, they would.

Pretty much all Euro centers would be great for the triangle though. Even Boozer, with his nice mid-range game, would be great in the triangle. Hell, the whole Jazz team would look nice in a Laker uni. I'd love to see Harpring and Milsap in a Laker uniform.

As a Laker fan i prefer the Hornets because they are less experenced and i think it's a good matchup for Kobe. They don't have any defensive stoppers on the wing like Bruce Bowen who does a great job making Kobe take difficult shots. The Spurs are capable of putting Bowen on Kobe 1 on 1 and simply staying on everyone else.

I think the Hornets wing players will need double team help on Kobe and that will open things up fo the Laker shooters.

The Hornets are a much easier matchup than the Spurs. They're much easier too scheme against and have no one to make Kobe work on either side of the ball. The Spurs have Bowen and Manu.

Gasol and Odom will perform better against Chandler and West than they will against Duncan. As long as we keep Peja and Pargo from killing us then we'll take the series easily.

I don't think it matter who we face. One thing for sure is if lakers don't step up on defense either one is capable of sweeping the mighty Lakers.

Lakers can play defense but not for 48 minutes.

What it shows me is simple.

a- The lakers are NOT a dominant team

The lakers SUCK at D and any team that SUCKS at D and rebounding cannot overcome the inevitable calls that will go Utah's way in the next game.

so now that your proven wrong, does mean you are the nut sukker?

how'd ya like the f in game 6? 3 quarters of pretty damned good d.

1) depends on the match-up

2) we are watching the lakers roster 3-15 literally grow up right in front of our eyes...

..which is to say if progress is continued, our defense wont be a "static" thing, as our guys are getting that real flight time...

losing two games in utah, and having an overall tough battle for the last four games is the best thing that could've happened to sasha, pau, jordan, lamar, ronny, etc.

i really have the sense that the aforementioned players understand playoff basketball on an order of magnitude or three better than a month ago...

our kids now understand what it takes, perhaps more so than the likes of kg,ray allen or the truth...
