I like it all except for Artest. Too many variables come into play with him and it could come back to haunt us if we give him a significant contract.
Also, I'd rather nab Portland's pick in that deal for Marion because you're giving up a huge amount for very little in return. A prospect at least has potential value to it.

Get a player like Turiaf/Diop/Kwame this offseason and roll with a lineup of...
C: One of those 3, Blount, Anthony
PF: Boozer, Haslem
SF: Wright, Kyle Weaver (2nd round pick this year)
SG: Wade, Cook
PG: Rose, Banks
Kyle Weaver shot the 3 ball at 37% and was one of the nations top defenders. That seems like a pretty good starting lineup. Add a 3pt shooter to the mix and the teams set.

interesting note: lives in Miami in the offseason
He left Cleveland after orally committing to them, so he might be the kind of guy to leave Utah thinking Miami might be the best spot for him....
Hard to leave such a strong team as Utah though.

Do you know that it is still snowing in Utah?
I think that if the cash is the same, coming to your home in Miami to play with DWade and Rose is not a bad option.

I posted this in another thread, but if we wanted to we could extend Marion, flip Banks for a contract that ends a year earlier, and gear up for summer of 2010 when Haslem, Blount, and whoever we get for Banks expire.
Sign a post player to max (Bosh) and then re-up Haslem with Bird Rights once the cap space is gone. If we resign Dorell this summer to a reasonable deal we can fill out the team with a backup shooter or defender at guard (House/Tony Allen/Pargo/Mike James) and a defensive big (Kwame).
Rose/House
Wade/Cook
Marion/Wright
Haslem
Bosh/Kwame

I don't think the Marion for Marbury deal is a good idea. I like dudes that can board. Marion can board. If the Heat could keep Marion and pickup Boozer next year, that would be quite a team.
Nevertheless, I always have a funny thought every time I hear of Boozer because of the Rookie All-Star game where Arenas bounced the ball off his head. I still laugh when thinking about that. . .
