Zo's performance opinion

Post#1 » by kundanp333 » Sun May 18, 2008 9:47 am

Alonzo in shape to play NBA basketball next year?
i think so...do you?

well heres a better question...

Alonzo in shape to play 30 minutes?

i think foul trouble will limit his play but if he were to be effective and stay out of foul trouble, i m sure he can give atleast 25 minutes of energy to the heat.... if he does, we got a great squad for 2008 - 2009 season.

what do you think?

I think you should lower your expectations. He's an old man coming off a serious knee injury, I don't see why someone would expect his stats to go up after that.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

he looked out of gas at times the past two years, I don't expect too much from him at all. His effort will always be there, his body can't always follow.

i don't think he would be able to handle 30 min every single game.

I think Zo would tell you himself that playing 30 minutes per night isn't what he wants at this stage of his career. He would do it if it meant helping the team due to injury or other problems. But, remember his comments in NJ when they were over-playing him and he felt like "they were trying to kill me"

about 15 minutes would be better for Zo. That wouldn't run him into the ground and would keep him relitively fresh if we had playoffs next year.

I thought this thread was about his performance in that G2 commercial.

If we have a semi-competitive team with Riley betting all his chips into next year's FA crop, Zo will play low minutes and test the waters.
If he's ok and the team has potential and he likes Riley's plans for next year's FA's, he'll save himself some and next year he'll go balls to the walls and will give his all and some more to get another ring.

Yeah I guess since he's known to be so serious. But Wade did a similar commercial for G2. I don't think they are acting. They both took place at Zo and Magic's 8 Ball Challenge and G2 just made them into commercials it seems. You can see the one with Wade at drinkg2.com but I don't see the one with Zo.

Yeah, he at least looks loose and like he's having a good time, not really acting.

personally I think that will average about 5 pts and 5 rebounds a game and his minutes will be drastically cut.He just doesnt show the mental toughness of being a person who can change his game to offset his age
