Ahh, it was Horry who tacked them? I could've sworn it was Duncan.

question, do people think the spurs are going to come out and play anyworst than they did in the 4th again?

i agree that some laker fans are overconfident..and yes spurs were tired and played poorly in the 4th.

but let me ask you this..could the lakers play any worse than the way they played in the 1st half, including many point blank layups and open shots?

bottom line..both teams can improve on their play in game 1 and lets see what happens.

ps. phil jackson is 40-0 when his team wins game 1 of a playoff series.

yeah, it was horry. dude just grabs odom by the waist and drags him and manu down in the process. for people to complain about that no-call is just funny. kinda sheds like on who watched the play with a "i feel like bitchin" attitude.

Man, I'm still shaking from that game. I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight. Thank GOD we won this game. Hopefully we got all the cob webs out and come out sharp next game, because it's a whole new series if we drop a game to the spurs and lose home court advantage. What the hell happened to Kobe btw? He was literally non existent in the beginning of the game. I was starting to believe that those rumors with the laker girl were true, and his mind was somewhere else. It was like he finally snapped out of it and decided that it was time to start playing. I've been watching him for his whole career and he still finds ways to surprise me. There is seriously nothing that man can't do on the court. He's close to the ring, and he feels it. And it seems like he won't let anyone deny him.

The Earthquake in china.

this isn't just a fluke occurrence for the Spurs. The Spurs have had a problem with 2nd half collapses in the regular season and the playoffs. Their offense goes on these scoring droughts all the time. All the Spurs fans scoffed at everyone talking about their age or their offense, but they are real concerns.

Its a good sign for the spurs, it wasn't a blow out on the road. But they shouldn't have lost such a lead....

Btw the spurs fans are at spurs talk.

bspn now said this will break the spurs harts losing a 20 point lead, just like the suns lost a huge lead in game one and lost their confidence.

I can only imagin a spurs fan will take this and run with it and post it somewhere about how good their spurs are.

Ok I am done with my gloating.

Thoughts on next game - Lakers can't feel too comfortable with this win. Odom has to come out next game and get started early. When is Ariza playing? They could use him to help Sasha guard Manu.

Spurs will treat game 2 as a must-win, knowing that Lakers are capable of taking a game in San Antonio. Lakers need to be ready for that.

The Lakers did what they were supposed to do.. Take game 1 on their home court.. I expect the next 3 games to be Spurs victories.. THe Spurs looked tired in the 4th quarter and missed shots.. And Parker did his usual disappearing act when it gets down to crunch time with his missed shots, poor decision making and not taking wide open shots.

Ginobilli should have his legs back in game 2 and hopefully the SPurs can hit their open shots in the 2nd half when Duncan passes out of double team.

The one thing this game showed was Bruce Bowen may be at the point of his career he can't guard Kobe Bryant. If Kobe goes off in the next game the Spurs are in some serious trouble. Pop will have to start thinking about double teaming. That doesn't slow down Kobe and just makes there offense really good.
