I like Harlan. At least I like what he says, his squeaky voice is a bit irritating.

This guy doesn't even know half the players names on the court.

He called Kendrick Perkins Sam Perkins who hasn't played in 20 years.

Mark Jackson is terrible. Absolutely terrible. He says nothing insightful at all and is borderline nonsensical in some of the things he says.

Mike Breen is....eh. He's your standard cookie cutter play-by-play guy. Very vanilla, very predictible. You could replace him with any other play-by-play around the league and you would never miss him.

Jeff Van Gundy is awesome though. His personality, his wit, his humor...and on top of that, he knows the game inside and out from a coaching standpoint. Like many others, I think he and Hubie Brown are the only commentators that I like on ABC.

The only thing I don't like about ESPN's telecasts is the annoying ticker that scrolls along the bottom of the screen. It's there only for people who haven't tuned in to watch the game. Can't they get their softball, golf and tennis updates someplace else? ESPN 2 maybe?

Mark Jackson is only good with Van Gundy, without him I wouldn't enjoy him being a commentator on games. I think Mike Breen would be a bit better with a different pair... it's like oil and water putting him with the JVG/Jackson combo.

I'd put JVG/Jackson with Marv Albert on TNT..... switch ESPN games to TBS and have Ernie Johnson in the Studio with Greg Anthony and Reggie Miller for the TBS games. (Kenny and Charles dont live in Atlanta and wouldnt want to stay all week) Reggie would be great in the studio but don't enjoy him as a telecaster.

Mark Jackson is turrible.

Reggie Miller is equally as bad. Unoriginal and cliche analysis but with a more lively and goofy voice.

The players they get to do color commentary that are no more than 4-5 years removed from the game are almost always bad. They insist on stating the obvious on every play. Oh they need to give Tim Duncan touches -- you don't say....

I'd put JVG/Jackson with Marv Albert on TNT.

This right here is what ive wanted to see.

JVG is too good. Jackson isnt that good but works really well with JVG. They just need a better play by play guy. Mike "puts it in" breen is easily the most vague play by play guy ive ever heard. While marv is good i would prefer harlan with jvg+jackson. Oh well we can dream cant we

I want to see Walton and JVG together. They would easily be the best announcing tandem in the history of western civilization.

I dont care for Breen and every game he has trouble figuring out the math with who is winning or losing by what amount. JVG and Jackson are great together though.

JVG is getting up there and is almost at Waltons level of hilarity. Someone has to get that segment where he was talking about which things hes going to boo. The putting the F on the front of players jerseys if theyre floppers was genius too, but hes not quite at Bill Waltons Bethoven reference and all of the western civilization references which are the greatest thing ever. I remember the LA/POR series where POR had a lapse on defence, and that comment about their defence being the worst in the history of western civilization was one of the funniest things I've heard on tv, the randomness and just overall hilarity of one Bill Walton cannot be topped.

Marv Albert will always be the best. The Jordan of play by play.

Harlan is cool and Breen doesn't bother me. But I don't really get to upset with they play by play guy.

Hubie Brown is the best color analyst. No fluff and can break down plays so even the casual viewer understands.

I hated Walton at first but now I miss his over the top comments. I think Van Gundy is trying too hard to be the next Walton. He makes a funny and then tries to keep topping it for the next 2 hrs.

Mark Jackson and Reggie should just stop. Doug Collins is good; I like how he loves to point out, "That was a 5 point swing! Let's see if that affects the outcome of the game."
I'm so tired of the typical......
