NO LAKER TALK UNTIL AFTER DETROIT!!!

I see a disturbing trend on the board. Let's finish a tough series.

Agreed. Don't take Detroit for granted they could easily come back on us.

Celtics are in the finals, and that is a fact.. Detroit has a 15-20% chance of squeezing out a win, and with the hunger of Pierce and Garnett, i just see 0% of that happening...

I actually recommend starting a Celtics vs Lakers game 1 thread...

Yeah I mean, it is impossible that detroit wins TWO games in a row. Has that ever happened before???

Seriously though. Good thread. People need to shut their mouths, we are not in yet.

Dude its happened but only 20% of the time...

Its ok to be humble, however, 80% chance that we face Lakers, and maybe some of us would like to discuss the match up, since Lakers finished Spurs last night..

Don't lose focus...concentrate on THIS game tonight and then worry about what comes next...it very well may be game 7, although I am hoping/thinking we end it tonight!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Dont you guys get that Celtics other than game 3 and 5 against Detroit have coasted through the playoffs?

With their backs against the wall, and in a pivotal game 5, they ascended to the next level..

I'm sorry, but Green 17 is coming, and LAKERSSSSSS have no chance..

I understand that the chances of detroit beating us two games in a row is slim but they are detroit and it can happen.

I cant wait for tonight and my stomach is in knots.

You're not the only one, my friend. My stomach has in knots before every playoff game since game 6 against Atlanta. But that's the price of being a dedicated fan!

Sort of like how when DET was doe 3-2 against Miami 3 years ago and ever with the hunger of Shaq and Wade the pistons managed to win the next to and eventually the finals? Is that what you meant?

nightstar...you are either way too confident & cocky, or ur jus dumb. you NEVER look past a team in the playoffs, even if we were up 3-1, you NEVER look on to the next round until you have 4 wins. shut up man. for real.

the chances of us having a game 7 are better than the chances of us closing this game out tonight. & then the chances of the pistons beating us in a game 7 are better than the chance cle & atl had b/c they've been here before.

It's for the players to concentrate on this game, it doesn't matter what the fans think or do. We all know even if the Celts don't win tonight, they'll win game 7. I don't know about anyone else, but the only time I was a little nervous was in game 7 against Cleveland, and even then going into to the game I felt that we would win.

No, I don't believe in jinxes, so I wouldn't be against someone starting a Celtics/Lakers thread right now, because it is inevitable. You guys are too worried about either jinxing the team, upsetting Pistons fans, or maybe you just don't believe that the Celtics can win one of the next two against Detroit. If you've been watching this team all year, you know this series is a wrap.

LOL, you guys crack me up..

What you can't talk about the Lakers vs Celtics, why again?

I mean, I am relatively sure that NONE of you are actually on the Celtics, right?

You believe in God or Superstitions?

There is no such thing as "Bad Karma" and any talk here will influence the game 0%..

So come on, there has to be a few logical fans..

Let's play!

Well, some of us do believe in God...guess that makes us "illogical"? :noway:

The hubbub is mostly so we don't look like jackasses if the Celtics don't advance. We're just having fun with this, for crying out loud....

Any of you guys got an age on nightstar cause that's the real source of the problem. Some guys are just too young and dumb to understand respect for your opponent.

I'm willing to bet any body here dude is between 16 and 20 easily.
And if he's over 20 then he's really immature and has a lot to learn about the NBA.
