Dude seriously, you have to give the Lakers some credit. Even when Boston turned it back on the Lakers still continued to pressure.

I dont have to give them anything. If Boston lets them shoot 3's they can score quickly. They turned it off in the 4th, period. I predicted this happening at halftime just like it has against other teams in the playoffs. A win is a win though I suppose.

He's doing it because it's the truth. The officiating was horrible. Anyone who watched the game could see that. However, the main reason for the Lakers' loss was their terrible D.
it wasn't so much the calls themselves, but the momentum that the calls took away from the Lakers offensibly and defensibly. thats why their defense was had holes because of foul trouble and at the other end it was not worth getting banged up if the call don't come your way.

So I guess defense doesn't matter? KG is the reason why the Celtics defense is what it is. Plus he can score. That enough for me.

Pierce is their scorer but thats about it.

KG importance >>>> Pierce importance

That's your opinion I have mines.

This play-offs when things have gone wrong or when the Celtics have needed something they've went to Pierce. Pierce has gotten it done on both ends of the floor all-year. And is pretty much proving he's the top dog on this team right now.

...and Celtics are a good team defensively because they have bunch of good defenders, a great one, and a great defensive coach(thibideau). They're a good defensive TEAM.

You take either of them out and the Celtics ship is sunk.

Sure he has, but he wasn't complaining when Jordan got every single call in the finals. But of course Jordan didn't just settle for jump shots, like a certain other shooting guard.

Nice to know you didn't watch the game.

It's inevitable. You think a guy who pushed so hard for Boston/LA this year would be satisfied with a sweep in the Finals?

Question: Who has been the Celtics most consistent player in the playoffs?

Lets see if Kobe starts attacking the basket instead of those jumpers.

For some reason, ESPN keeps going out for me. Meh. Guess I'll turn on the radio.

Coaching doesn't matter more than personnel. Espically an assistant coach. Phil Jackson had Kwame Brown and Smush Parker and they sucked. Now he has Gasol and they are better.

Diminishing KG's importance doesn't make any sense. Watch KG on defense and tell me he isn't the conerstone of that defense.

Now hold on, this has got to be one of the most dumbest post that I've ever read on realgm. Please tell me where was this DPOY defense in Minnesota? Why weren't the T-wolves ever known as a great defensive team with KG? Please tell me that seeing as you don't have to be gifted physically by any means to play defense, it's all about your heart AND YOUR "WANT TO". It's no secret that during timeouts you'll actually catch Tom being the one instructing the team on defense, even instructing on the sidelines on many occasions. Defense ALWAYS begins and ends with the coaching, I don't care what anyone tells you.

^^because nobody cared about the T-Wolves. If you don't think Garnett is a dominant defender, I can't believe you actually know anything about basketball.

It's kinda hard to attack the basket when the defense is pretty much playing a box in 1, every time Kobe attacks, a guard is there to help or a big man cuts him off. They don't want to double him outside for OBVIOUS reasons, but every time he gets inside, there is a double or triple. Kobe is relentless in attacking the basket (ex Denver & Utah series), but with Bostons TEAM defense there isn't much Kobe can do to get inside! How many dunks do you remember from Kobe in this game?

Thats conveinent coming from a fan who benfited from the outcome. To be honest, I dont think you would see such a lopsided game in this series.

I have never been one to blame a game on the refs and I would certainly make a "bad call" statment in every game. However, there were some bad calls tonight and many posters here saw that who were not Laker fans.

First half the officiating was terrible. The 3rd quarter the Celtics worked the Lakers and the 4th quarter the Lakers fought back.

I doubt there will be a more lop-sided game called in this series.....and if there is.. I cant wait to hear about.

Of course not from you .. ;)

If you dont attack you dont shoot FT's. If I'm not mistaken the Lakers had more shot attempts, they shoot jumpers and Boston kept them out of the paint the majority of the time. Phil and Kobe should blame themselves, not the refs.

Laker fans need to stop overrating their team (especially their bench) then Laker fans might actually get some respect.

Humble pie needs to reign over Los Angeles for once.

Phil Jackson crying on TV as we speak, about Leon Powe.

Kobe's inability to handle a double team/consistent trap is very poor...
