Are you just saying that Kg hasn't come close to playing to his potential, if so, I agree with you. Garnett settles way to much, if he just go the mind-set, coaching, whatever just to take the ball to the hole, or get into the block and work from there; he would be so much better.

. Also during Casey's time, there wasn't a guard capable of running anything, it was throwing the ball to KG and letting him create from 18 feet, because they couldn't execute an entry pass.

LOL. A junior higher can be taught how to properly execute an entry pass in a matter of minutes. You are honestly trying to tell me there wasn't a single guard on the roster capable of throwing an entry pass?

Jesus. Maybe there wasn't a single guy capable of taking the pressure off KG or finding him at the rim for easy baskets...but not capable of throwing an entry pass?

Now THAT is right off the deep end...the surface ain't even in sight anymore...

Hakeem didn't "do" fadeaways like KG's. His game was much more post-oriented. If you don't see this, you didn't watch much of Hakeem.

And it is well known that KG is taller than his listed height. He's told people he doesn't change it because he doesn't want to be known as a center. Hmm...

Have you measured KG? You are the big hater I have seen since I started posting hear. I'm 100% every GM, coach, scout, exec, and player would think you are on PCP if you ever told them "KG is selfish"

I guess Duncan is selfish because he coasts thru a season some time. I guess T-Mac is selfish because he takes alot of jumpshots.

Have you ever thought that if KG exerted so much energy of the offensive end he would lose something defensively. This is real life not a video game. You press turbo all the time.

If you played organized basketball you would know big men have to exert alot of energy in the post. But I guess that doesn't matter to you. You would rather have a guy score 35 PPG and get exposed on defense everytime. You basically want KG to be Amare. I'll pass.

Yep, this is all I'm saying.

My original point revolves around what you are saying, plus all the yipping and yapping and bouncing and staring down.

You'd think if he was really that concerned with winning, he'd just go down low and dominate.

But he has consistently refused to do that, from the moment he got to Minnesota.

If he wasn't out there pretending that he's giving his last breath for his team, you probably wouldn't be hearing the "fraud" comments out of me.

Oh come on, you know what I mean, they struggled getting the ball into the post, it's a problem some younger inexperienced teams with combo guards have.

Boston looked horrible against Atlanta and Cleveland. Billups and Hamilton were hurt and that was the only reason they beat Detroit. Now their playing an injured Laker team (Kobe, Fisher, Bynum). The refs are in the C's back pocket. I'm not impressed by the Celtics at all.

Billups scored something like 25 in game 6. Very good defense by Boston won that game, so I wouldn't say injuries were a factor. I don't see Kobe or Fisher being injured or at least it's a very minor injury. Bynum has never played with this team before, so you have no idea whether he'd help or hurt. Chemistry could certainly be an issue.

I've played organized basketball my entire life.

And please, check out the truehoop liveblog tonight. They aren't commending KG for sticking it out on the perimeter. They are begging him to take over inside.

And yes, there have been times when KG's teams need him to be Amare. Where being Amare would have won his teams a lot more games than they did.

And that is what counts here, not your fantasy that somehow Garnett should be excused for his unwillingness to do what his team needs him to do to win.

Yeah, I agree with you their. I always wished Kg would start taking control, and DOMINATING, because he has all the potential, skill, and athleticism to do so, only thing stopping him is, well, him.

No, they didn't struggle getting the ball in the post.

KG didn't want the ball in the post, and Minnesota's ballhog guards didn't mind that KG didn't want the ball in the post.

There's a reason they were so bad, you know...

This game wasn't about Garnett's unwillingness to post up. It was about Pierce not showing up.

Yeah, as opposed to how great they are now that they have 8 new guys and a draft pick in KG's wake.

Wait so you're saying that KG is selfish for playing a way that you think isn't optimal for his team?

Ok so what would KG get out of this type of selfishness?

Obviously he is playing in the scheme which his coach wants him to play, and also he is playing in a manner in which he believes he can help his team the most.

Im going to agree with this too.

However, calling him selfish is pretty rediculous. In fact, I'd say he's not selfish enough. He's been hitting those shots his whole career at a very high %. They just didn't fall tonight.

I think it was just sarcasm. Pierce really didn't show up tonight and KG just didn't have it. If they played like normal Boston wins. Congrats to LA and Kobe definitely put on a show. We'll see what happens in game 4.

Adding onto your points about Duncan and McGrady.

McGrady would be the absolute epitome of what I am talking about. Even worse, actually. The guy does have back issues, but he kills his teams by refusing to take the ball to the basket. I can't stand him for that reason. It is what keeps Mcgrady from being great.

As for Duncan, the Spurs have enough offensive firepower where they don't need him to score 30 every night to win. At least I've never seen him shying away from taking big shots or refusing to play in a way that will help his team win. Duncan would be the opposite of KG on that front...

I am also revoking Kobe's first team defense for letting Ray Allen light him up.
