Must not let the M@ssholes win. Boston sports fans are...my goodness. Let me go get my pre-distressed Boston Red Sox hat that looks like it's 18 years old but is actually 2 months new and strangle myself.

Celtics are DONE.

No heart, No effort...

No way they can recover...team is getting old...bad coach....bad leadership...big three just don't work together...its never a big three during the game, because only one or two of them decide to show up. KG always disappears when it matters, Paul Pierce is always a foul prone loser who also got some disppearing skills in the hat, Ray Ray is getting old.

Its never gonna work, their getting older and older, Cavs, Heat, Bulls, Raptors, Magic, even Bobcats all gonna pass them next year.

Time to fire Doc, fire Ainge, ship out the big three before their sponteniously loose value and put the Celtics in cap hell and decades of lottery extragazvanzas. Better to rebound quickly by trading KG, Pierce and Jesuss Shuttleworthless for some picks and young prospects.

I'm already excited to our franchise lead by Rondo and Powe. *wood*

Obinna, it is a flaw. But it is more than that. Everything I have posted is true.

Meanwhile, you have posted a bunch of crazy smilies, called me a hater about half a dozen times, and tried to equate Steve Nash not posting up to KG not posting up.

And it wasn't that you couldn't continue the argument. It was that you didn't care so much that you were begging the mods to close the thread as soon as the game was over and are now up at 2 in the morning still posting on the subject.

Drum roll please...

Why haven't we heard any of KG's coaches saying "No matter what I say he won't go in the post!!??"

1) I wanted the mods the close the thread because a Game 4 tread had been started. Genius.

2) But at 10 PM I was watching the game. That's when I wasn't answering.

Just to dispel the horrid notion put out there by obinna that Kobe had a subpar defensive game:

The Lakers started the game with a new twist: Bryant guarded Rajon Rondo, who is not known as a shooter. And they finished the game with Bryant keeping tabs on Pierce.

In the early going, Bryant left Rondo time and again, roaming the floor freely, taking up space, and taking away options from players like Garnett and Pierce.

Rivers has been insistent that the Celtics are best when Garnett spends a lot of time catching the ball in the post. But tonight, time and again, he was shooting from the outside.

"I just thought they were more aggressive," Rivers said. "Kobe was really live off of Rondo -- something they did in the last game, as well. But he was more aggressive at it."

Then, down the stretch, Bryant stopped roaming and started guarding local hero and recent Laker-killer Pierce.

"He's a tough cover," Bryant said. "He's a bad boy. He's extremely versatile. Go left, go right, shoot it. He's a very tough cover. As tough as you're going to have in this league. I just tried to accept the challenge and tried to make it as tough as I can for him."

It was tough enough.

"Putting Kobe on Pierce," Jackson said, "was the difference in tonight's game. It was more difficult for him to work to get free. He still had, I thought, some instrumental plays down the stretch. But it made the difference for us tonight."

Thank god PJax "listened" to my fervent requests to put Kobe on Pierce. Now if only he'll play Vladrad less minutes (as opposed to making the refs do it on his behalf)

Celtics rely mostly on their starters. The Lakers really rely on their bench. Having said that -

Gasol - no show (except for a couple key rebounds and putbacks)
Odom - MIA, simply awful series so far
Fisher - no show for game 3
Turiaf - no show - needs to man up since he's their strongest big
Radman - underperforming
Ariza - not in game shape yet

All of those players have filled key roles for the Lakers this season. If the Lakers can grab game 4, at least 3 of those players are going to get out of their rut. With Sasha and Farmar playing like they have, this could turn out to be the classic it's supposed to be.

Yeah, like half of the Lakers have yet to show up.

LA held court. I expected nothing less. PJ cried enough about reffing to guarantee an advantage.

I was surprised that LA wasn't able to absolutely stomp them in the first half with the Celts playing like they really didn't want to be there.

Pierce 2-14
Garnett 6-21

At home and you win by 6? Be afraid, be very afraid.

why should we be afraid. lamar odom can't possibly play worse than 4 pts, 5 turnovers. and its clear that kobe>big 3 (big 6 in boston), especially in the clutch.
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Pierce and KG rebound in game 4 and win big.

Nothing has changed in the series. The Celtics limited the Lakers to a good overall scoring number on the road. The defense showed up and I was even fine with most of Kobe's looks.

It's really just a matter of KG and Pierce getting into a groove offensively and having the role players fall into place around their performance. The C's have consistently proved they can guard the Lakers well.

Turiaf had a great block on a KG fadeaway. Was waiting for that to happen. He's swatted Duncan (numerous times), Bosh, Amare, etc. KG was bound to be on the list at one point.

kg has consistently proved he likes to take fadeaway jumpshots over a taller defender which he cannot make. odom cannot play worse than 4 points and 5 turnovers. i'd be satisfied with 10 points. kobe isn't going to let a bunch of chokers win.

An ugly win, but I'll take it. Kobe and Sasha were great and even the "non-factors" of yesterday's game contributed something down the stretch (Gasol's two rebounds and tip-ins after Odom's misses; Fisher hustling to get a rebound after his own miss, Walton almost losing the ball and somehow kicking it out to Kobe for the open 3).

I'm very disappointed with Garnett. He's been one of my favourite players since he came in the league, but he's been relegated to a jumpshooter in this series. 35% FG for a PF is inexcusable. Gasol is doing a fine job on him and help defense is also good.

I was very pleased with Kobe starting on Rondo at first, it really made things difficult for Boston and I also enjoyed seeing him shut down Pierce in the final minutes.

I hope tomorrow more of our players wake up in the morning and realize they are playing in the NBA Finals. 1 out of 5 starters playing like he cares simply won't do it. Hopefully it was really the jet-lag and whatnot. :)

Go Lakers!
