2008 NHL Entry Draft

Post#1 » by Celtics_Champs » Mon Jun 16, 2008 3:54 pm

I can't seem to find when it is. I checked the NHL site, and the graphics aren't showing up for me. Does anyone know the date and time? I assume versus will televise it, right?

-also, does anyone have any good mock draft sites? :)

To be honest, I'm not all that excited about who the Habs will be drafting this year, but about the possibility of trades :)

Yeah the Caps have quite a lot of picks this year. We already have a lot of young players in the farm system. Could see us dealing some of these picks. We aren't that great at drafting outside the first round anyways.

Yeah, same here for the B's. I mean last year they were in the top 10, and the year before that the top 5. So that was interesting. But 16 pick isn't intriguing as the trade possibilities are.

Draft is tonight. Who is watching? I don't no a lick about the players coming in, well a few, but it is great to see all the trades that might go down. Bruins are at 16, here comes my laughable prediction, John Carlson. Another american d-man for the bruins. I will probably be wrong though.

I'll be watching. I'm not really expecting anything huge to happen, but I remain intrigued regardless.

Ah, what would the NHL Draft be without the traditional Booing of Bettman, followed closely afterwards by Bettman sucking up to the home crowd in a valiant but ultimately doomed attempt to curry favour with their ilk.

That's a jawdropper. I did not expect Phoenix to be the destination Jokinen went.

Drew Doughty goes with the 2nd pick, no surprises there.

Looks like Florida's moving right into the rebuilding phase. As if they weren't bad already.

Not really sure why they are, they've been on the cusp of the playoffs the last two seasons. Meanwhile, this makes Phoenix a playoff team.

After this trade and the Luongo one, I think they should just move this franchaise to Winnipeg. If I were a Panther fan, it would be difficult to cheer for this team when your management screws things up so bad. As bad as Leafs management has been, this might even be worse.

Ya know, I wish TSN would just say "Here comes another trade call" instead of here comes another trade! I really thought the bruins were going to trade up to get bosgonian. And it was just jokinen.

Islanders trying to eff up everyone's boards, I guess.
