Sweet, have fun. I'd love to visit Turkey, I've got some places in mind.

Take lots of pictures and post em here.

Inbred or inborn? Either would make sense actually. :D

I grew up watching those guys as well, and it pains me to see them suffer. I just don't want to make it seem like I'm betraying my fellow Laker Fans. You guys kinda see where I'm getting at?

Alright, so I've been sitting here and I think I want to get back to reading more (I haven't read anything other than HP and Series of Unfortunate Events).

I want to read something more informative and you know, real, lol. I just don't know where to start looking, lol.

Currently looking at ChiRunning by Danny Dreyer (suggested by Chach, seems like an interesting read)
and some Stephen Hawking books.

Again, no real specific subject.. anything you guys have enjoyed? Any ideas? :)

You might like A Brief History of Time by Hawkings. It's pretty interesting, though IMO the title of the book may be one of the most arrogant title's I've ever seen, lol. Then again, he's Stephen Hawkings so I guess he has the right to be that way.

If you just want to read something fun to pass the time, I head that Stephen King's Dark Tower series is actually some of his best work ever. It's like seven novels in total so it'll keep you occupied for the summer.

Docta j,

I'd recommend "Crime and Punishment" By Fjodor Dostojevski, and "Ondskan" by Jan Guillou. Those are both GREAT novels. If you're looking for more of a life guidance type of thing, pick up anything that coach John Wooden wrote, and, eyeing through a chapter of the "I Ching" every now and then never hurts in the pursuit of clarity either.

115 out here in Ojai yesterday and I was in the sun at the lake you can't swim in to meet my girlfriends family and then for a wedding... total of 8hrs. Damn that sucked.

I'll get to meeting the gf's parents in a bit... good story.

115? That's uninhabitable.

It was hot and humid out here. Not horrible but still uncomfortable.

Freaking global warming.

On that note, are there any secret awesome places to live?

Where's the cheapest place in America or the world that you guys know of?

-cheap housing
-generally safe (no war zone, no inner city)
-weather isn't miserable
-preferably where English is a more or less understood

Somewhere you can get by, for say, $1,000 or less a month. Impossible?
