CCJ - do you have an A thru F grade for our draft?

Fire EG.

EJ, you're pretty much dead in the water due to no help from your GM.

Walker could be a steal. Nothing wrong with getting more athletic in a conference that has teams like Atlanta and Philly. I know I'm kind of stuck on that issue, but our starting five with AD on the floor appeared to be running in cement compared with those guys. Hopefully his knees will be ok, but I understand not taking another power forward like Hendrix. We have like 12 of them on the roster now: DSong, Blatche, Pech, JavMac can play it eventually, Vereemenko if he ever gets here, AJ and even DMac can play a little. Nothing wrong about taking a shot on a very talented player with knee problems in the 2nd round.

I guess we'll have to sign a free agent point guard or rookie free agent. :-?

This is very troubling. One possible conclusion is that EG believes we need the cash because we are about to pay a luxtax. That means that Arenas probably will sign a HUGE contract, maybe even a Max deal.

Spaceman...that's just it. We have'
C- Haywood, Thomas, (Blatche)
PF - Jamison, Blatche, (Songalia)

Then we go out and McGee.......he's not a BRUISER. I don't know if you know my "2008 Draft" background, but I was a HUGE Joey Dorsey fan!! He's what the Wizards needed, IMHO. Just as strong as CCJ is with Hendrix, you can equal that with me and Dorsey!! I LOVE the guy, but felt we didn't NEED him if we were keeping all of our bigs - Haywood, Thomas, Pech, Jamison. Blatche, Songalia, VV, .....too many guys to0 add a big with a one-dimisional game.....(DEFENSE)..which is what is NEEDED on our team.

Exactly, you are so close to getting it. We don't neeeed a big for this year, so we drafted one for 09 and after. A player with the potential to be better than what we already have. Barring any big trades I suspect we will, ok we just dealt Walker so we will need a 3rd PG AND a backup SF through free agency. James Jones anyone?

I change our grade from a C to an F, and a sucky Ernie Grunfeld thread is entirely justifiable.

yeah, i quit.

we clearly don't give a **** about *winning*

I saw this when he gave EJ shining reviews, and at that point the writing was on the wall.

Ainge: You guys interested in trading Billy Walker?

EG: What do you have to offer?

Ainge: No players, just money for your owner.

EG: Why not? We made the play-offs this year, it's all good. How'd you all do?

Ainge: We won the NBA Title and have everyone set to come back so we need some talented kids to spell the vets and eventually take over.

EG: Cool, how much will you give us for him...

Classy? DCZards is one of the most condescending pricks on this board. And that's saying a lot.
