WHY WOULD WE WANT HINRICH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trade is NOT the answer, it will do absolutely nothing for our team.

The way things are playing out, there is no more rebuilding on the fly, it just doesn't exist pretty much anymore.

New Orleans, Lakers, Boston will be the dominant powers for the next 2-3 years, unless within 2 years we can beat Lakers or New Orleans, there is no point in even trying to make the playoffs. For what purpose? Getting knocked out in the 1st round, and having to rebuild again?

After today, there is no more, wait for the best deals at all. That does not exist whatsoever anymore. Portland is already leaps and bounds ahead of us, they will be the team to chase after, not Boston/LAL. Miller HAS TO GO. Artest HAS TO GO. Salmons HAS TO GO. Moore HAS TO GO.

Bayless/Roy/Webster/Aldridge/Oden
w/
Fernadez/Rodriguez/Blake/Outlaw/Przybilla/Frye/Arthur/Dorsey/Diogu (I'm not sure exactly what else happened to them recently). Regardless, their bench is better than our starting lineup almost.

If we want any shot at winning a championship whatsoever, we have to rebuild NOW. and FULLY REBUILD. We HAVE to start chasing after Portland, and very likely Seattle, Minnesota, Atlanta.

As of now, pretty much every team in the league has a brighter future than we do.

Half the league is competing and actually making the playoffs, teams like Bos, LAL, Det, NO, Uta, Hous, SA, etc.

The rest are just solely stocking up in order to be in the next round, Portland, Minn, Sea, Memp, Ind, Mia.

We are doing neither.

Hinrich solves none of our problems. We are better off having no PG whatsoever, give Douby a full year to truly know if he's worth **** or not.

Again, what the F does 2-3 games in the win column do for us? It prevents us from possibly getting lucky and getting an Oden/Rose. It prevents us from getting a player that slips such as Bayless, Lopez, Gordon. In the end, we end up with absolutely NOTHING

What would you guys think of a possible Ridnour trade?

http://www.hoopsworld.com/HeadlineStories.asp?hd=20080627&lc=NBA#STORY_9734

Hoopsworld.com wrote:When free agency begins Tuesday, guard Luke Ridnour is expected to dangle in the trade winds for the second consecutive year to clear a space in the rotation for Westbrook. Earl Watson, a former UCLA standout, will likely mentor his fellow Bruin and successor.

"I just saw Earl before I left L.A.," Westbrook said. "He was congratulating me and things like that. Earl is a real good guy. I know Earl will teach me some things. He was teaching me some things before the year."

When asked about the Sonics' uncertain future, Westbrook said: "I'm aware that the Sonics might play in a different city, but I don't think that's a big issue."

Seemingly, Presti doesn't have an issue with handing the reins of the team to an unproven floor leader.

Even though Westbrook led the Bruins with 4.3 assists per game, he was a primarily a shooting guard during his two seasons at UCLA.

Westbrook will move to point guard and will team with last season's draft picks — Kevin Durant, the rookie of the year, and Jeff Green, an all-rookie choice — as the building blocks for a team hoping to rebound from its worst season in franchise history.

Target Raymond Felton. With the acquistion of Augustine, it appears likely that Charlotte would be willing to move their former first round pick.

Brad Miller
for
Ray Felton, Matt Carroll

Carroll expires this year and is in for salary purposes. Miller goes to Charlotte where he can help the two youngs (lopez and anderson) acclimate themselves to the pro level. We pick up felton who has a year left on his deal. If it doesnt work out, we basically turn brad into an expiring (worst case scenario). If it does, we lock Felton up as our future point guard.

And I realize this is not a trade forum. Just an idea

Guys Felton's not the answer either, they added the dimunitive Augustin because Felton can't play PG. He's a 1 in the mold of a Bobby Jackson. Solid player, but best relegated as a super-sub type.

Well, I think it would be a weight loss program for me since the thought of it just makes me want to puke continuously. And it's not just the fact that He's a former Duck...he's also a worthless player.

If you want an Oregon guy on the Kings, I'll take Aaron Brooks. Other than that, no thanks.

I still think that Chicago deal is the best (In the trade board):

Hinrich
Gooden
Hughes

FOR

Miller
Thomas
SAR

I'd like to take Miller/Gooden out of the deal somehow...add in some sort of incentive.

I think Chicago's main goal about this trade is to get Miller IMO. I think we should just keep the deal as is because this destroys the glut of overpaid PFs we have. I hate to see Miller go (Still a good center) but if that's the price to dump both of those guys (Thomas/SAR) and while get Gooden AND Hinrich, I say deal.

This is something we would really have to look into. Right now we have way too much money spent up front especially since some of it is dead weight. This deal also gives up some free money next year and then after 2010.

Denied- I agree with your post but with the lottery such a crap shoot ( ie Chicago) its tough to bank on that.

Hinrich is a 16 and 7 PG with great D. He had a bad year as did the entire Bulls squad last year. You will see him redeem himself and recover, he's a winner and is the main player that helped the Bulls turn around.

I'd trade Hinrich and Deng for Kevin Martin- I'd even expand that deal to include us giving you an expiring in Gooden and taking back trash in Thomas or SAR. Deng could replace Artest when he leaves.

The trade above is okay for the Bulls too but we are NOT really looking to get Miller as much as we are to get rid of Hughes.

I'd also trade Gordon and Hinrich for Martin.

I'd even consider Hinrich, Deng and Noah for Martin and Miller. Chicago can also toss in a 1st rounder too.

By the way Deng put up 19 and 7 two years ago before the letdown of the Bulls and a season he had injuries. He is also 2 years younger than Martin.

The Kings are NOT trying to dilute talent; how many times do Bulls fans need to understand this?

The ONLY thing the Kings would consider trading Martin for (that the Bulls own) is Rose and there's no way the Bulls trade Rose. Everything else just makes the Kings into a failure like the Bulls of the last half decade.

There is nothing in the Bulls roster outside of Rose can net Martin.

The Lakers are interested in Artest, so I think Artest/Kenny for Odom/Farmar is something I would do. Kick off the real rebuild.

Farmar looks more intriguing now. Knowing that Beno MAY walk. The trade is blah still. We just cant HAND the title over to the Lakers. With Artest in the Lakers, they are champions already. They know they cant slow down Pierce thus Artest is there.

Ultimately, I would say no to the deal.

The Lakers have 14 championships already. I could care less if they add #15, especially since we get such a good deal.

Odom has far more stable value than Artest, we dump Kenny's albatross and nab a temporary floor general. the 09 class has some star PGs, I wouldn't mind waiting until then to get our PG of the future. In the meantime, let Martin/Thompson/Hawes grow with eachother and add a big time FA along with next year's high draft pick.

Well, the entire league is handing a dozen of titles to Portland currently.

But knowing that, why would we offer Artest for that package? If we are "handing" over the title to the Lakers, we should get MORE value then that. Besides, divisional trades (Which is the Lakers in this case) are unrealistic anyways.

But Ron really isn't worth much more. Odom, Farmar and a Thomas dump is overpaying as it is. Anything else and the Lakers won't bite. If we could get a good deal elsewhere, sure, but this is the best offer currently on the table for Artest.
