Re: GM a Team Part 3 (Transactions)
The Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a blockbuster superstar swap.
The Dallas Mavericks send:
PG Baron Davis 15M
The Boston Celtics send:
SF Paul Pierce 18.1M
15*1.25=18.75>18.1 So it works
The Dallas Mavericks accept. The Truth is one of my favourite players and I have been chasing him since the start of this game. Very sad to lose Baron Davis and I recognize that there is now a ridiculous hole at PG which I will have to fill, but with the Truth finally within my grasp I just couldn't pass this opportunity up.

Re: GM a Team Part 3 (Transactions)
The Boston Celtics accept both deals. Baron is one of my favorite players, and he will be a terrific player to build around.
I'm sad to lose KG, but I'm looking to clear up some cap space, the last thing I wanted was to send him to a team that wasn't a contender. But I'm sending him to a place where he has a chance to win it all. Sheed is an expiring which just helps me add more cap space to rebuild around my core.

Minnesota and Steve Francis have agreed to part ways.
Minnesota GM is quoted as saying, "Steve Francis will not get any playing time on our team, thus to mutual agreement we have decided to release Steve Francis."
Steve Francis take on this, "I'm happy to be a free agent again, and I know that I would be able to provided some PG depth to a contending team."

Re: GM a Team Part 3 (Transactions)
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards have agreed to a trade:
Stephon Marbury (20,000,000)
Total: 20,000,000
FOR
Raef LaFrentz (12,722,500)
Trenton Hassell (4,350,000)
Total: 17,072,500 (*1.25 = 21,340,625)
Wizards accept. For us, this is purely a cost-cutting move. We do add almost 3 million this upcoming season, but we subtract over 4 million the year after that. This deal also lessens our glut of wings and post players, and gives us a point guard.

Trade Vetoed, sorry guys, but the outcry was that Randy Foye was traded for Darius Songaila, just modify it slightly or something

The Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets have agreed upon a trade.
Boston receives
Rasheed Wallace-$13,680,000
Shane Battier-$6,373,900
Courtney Lee-$442,114
2010 1st Round Pick
Total: 20,496,014 X 1.25= 25,620,017
Houston Receives
Kevin Garnett-$24,751,934
Total: $24,751,934
Sorry to do this guys, but this trade was vetoed, I received 2 in the morning and 3 in one hour just now, sorry but this trade has to be cancelled, the main outcry was that KG coming off a DPOY and championship season should warrant more than 2 aging stars and a late 1st rounder, try again if you could.

That trade is approved because I was thinking about your trade when the Hornets-Wolves trade was posted, but this is on contigency if Boston wants to do this deal because his other trade was cancelled.
So its approved but Boston has the last say.

Seattle accepts. Seattle also receives a trade exception equal to Williams' salary (approx $3.395M).
With the roster slot opened up in this trade, Seattle signs Richard Hendrix (2nd round draft choice) to a scale contract.

Re: GM a Team Part 3 (Transactions)
New Orleans Hornets have revised their original trade agreement with the Minnesota Timberwolves
TRADE 1:
------------
New Orleans Trade:
Damon Jones $4,460,186
Donyell Marshall $5,950,894
Jamario Moon $711,517
DJ Strawberry $711,517
Cheick Samb $711,517
Sacremento 2009 First round pick
Total Outgoing: $12,545,631
Total Incoming: $9,015,560
Incoming is less than outgoing, so it works
Minnesota Trade:
Jason Collins $6,200,000
Randy Foye $2,815,560
Total Outgoing : $9,015,560
Total Incoming: $10,411,080 (minimum contracts for Strawberry, Samb and Moon don't count)
$10,411,080 < 9,015,560 * 1.25 + 100k, so it works
TRADE 2:
------------
New Orleans Trade:
JJ Redick $2,139,720
Total Outgoing: $2,139,720
Total Incoming: All minimum contracts, so the incoming salaries don't count as per CBA rules
Incoming is less than outgoing, so it works
Minnesota Trade:
Jamario Moon $711,517
DJ Strawberry $711,517
Cheick Samb $711,517

Total Incoming: $2,139,720
$2,139,720 < $2,134,551 * 1.25 + 100k, so it works
Although it hurts to loose a likely top 5/6 lotto pick in next year's draft and a good young shooter in Redick, we're happy to have finally landed a backup PG/SG to play behind Chris Paul.. Hopefully foye manages to stay healthy and does something to raise his poor FG%. Before people jump to void this trade, please note that Foye is coming off an injury riddled season and is a career poor shooter for a guard, is 25 years old and is not a franchise player as some people are making him out to be. He barely averaged 13 PPG in 33 minutes of PT last year, hardly head-turning numbers. We believe this is a fair deal (Randy foye for a top lotto pick next year + jj redick) and should be looked at as an individual deal and not be judged on the basis of any of the previous deals.

Minnesota accepts, we are saddened to lose a player of Foye's caliber, but picking up Sacramento's 1st rounder which I believe will be a top 5 pick was too good of a deal to pass up, also by trading foye, we will have that much more cap room in 2010.

Since he was recently waived by Minnesota, you would have to take on his one year contract of $2,634,480.
