Re: Community Thread VII
my high school lost the game so that sucked, but the ride home was interesting, besides going the wrong way for about 20 minutes, there was a big F-150 passing us on the left and right when he came even with our car, a big dead deer came into view in the left lane and the truck hit it
or i should say ran over it like it wasn't even there, big deer though, probably would have messed up our ride

Luckily, I get inspired by one one guy who does this very well. Erik Eleven. Some ballboys would throw some stupid crap at him, and EE would just politely say something like "I respect your point" even though it was just a string of insults, or he'd say "Agree to disagree" even though he's getting dissed left and right.
EE is very zen - speaking of which, where is that guy?
I don't even know what you're talking about, man. I do it for that big fatty check every two weeks.

I'm down with Hermes suggestion. A little creative editing-
"And what's more Miles is a big sweatheart, who only talks the truth"
something like that.

Well it sucks more when it's people who have been around for awhile. You know, when you assume that people understand you and know what you're about, but then blindside you with a flying scissor heel hook.

P.S. Squirrel Boy, it's all good, just giving you a hard time. Although I do try to buy products that are made in the USA and eat locally grown food. My personal choice though.
Dang I need to get an iphone. My 3-year-old nokia candybar is flipping out on me. Anybody use crackberry? I hear it's a better phone.

I just picked up the new TILT, Nice phone but so hard to operate.
But I like it, really easy for internet access and text messaging and has a very nice camera on it.

Right Sort of like what happened today, and Im confused since I thought that it was the boards rules that if someone posts something specailly a certain subject, that you need to post a link or a source, but then someone posts a link in ( Slovakian) and Im suppose to know that its slovakian and not Russian so now I have all the Slovakian brother attacking me cause I thought the writting was in Russian and not slovakian.........LOLLLLL

I agree.
But where does the line get drawn, I mean myself I dont like to start a pissing match with anyone specailly on our board, also if I see someone that is disrespecting, myself this board, or one of our Mods, I do address the matter, but then some of you guys (Mods that are being insulted) reply back by posting , please no need for backseat Modding.

I think thats where some mods need to step backand allow some of the older posters (An Inforcer) to address these clowns as long as there is no insults or name calling being thrown out to the trolls, and sort of let these guys know that we dont tolerate B.S on this board specailly when its disrespect towrds our mods.

the high road is always nice to take, weather's always great, sun shinning no clouds
as for where to draw the line, i've found its better to follow the Golden Rule (treating others as you would like to be treated) as opposed to the eye-for-an-eye rule
if you be overly nice to people trying to be mean, or start something, they won't even know what to do with themselves

Re: Community Thread VII
Tony, there was no need to enforce. You could have asked for a link instead of going after him. I realize he's a celtic fan, but if we don't allow other posters to bring stuff like that in we a- are only going to get our homer opinions b-may miss out on stuff that has slipped past our attention.
Links are important, but ask for one without any venom. Now posters on two different boards are out there somewhere telling their buddies on their board what a bunch of hot heads we are. That's something we've been working hard to dispell.
Posters here have done a great job of reporting instead of return flaming and we've been kicking trolls ass's left and right because we didn't have to give up one of our own posters to the commish or make a compromise in severity of punishment at least to end the problem. If that thread had gotten out of control we would to have either let the guy get away with it or have you suspended too. Trust me that's the way it works with the commish. I'd rather be a surgical about getting rid of trolls than let it get personal.

Right Hermes,I agree bro, BUT as you can read Miles post, not mine and he is a Mod........... What if that road keeps on turning and there is no dead end to it, and lets say it stops for the time being and it flares up over and over again, then what you still sit there and send them smilees or do you tell them to **** off?
Ya I am a full grown man and I do realize how to treat people but then again I think everyone has their limits, and when it doesnt get resolved or their is no end to it, its only human nature to take the next step and deal with it on the same level as they are, maybe that's the level that some of these posters can understand, not the nice curtious guy like you and others on here, plus if I sit there and not share my real opinion or feeling then why should I post on here or any other board or why should I even be honest with anyone , might as well go through life lying and always taking a backseat on everything that life throws at you just to be a nice guy and allow people to say and threat you like dirt but "Hey Im not like that, Im going to be a nice guy" .......again Bra I do agree with you, but Im sorry to say that pesonally I have my limits and I respect people as the respect me and I threat people as they threat me.

ah limits, always hated those in calculus
but all that you can hope to do is know your limits and be conscience of how close you are to them
everyone has a breaking point, they can't all be nice and cheery all the time
but to answer your question
you can't grow wrong with a great big smile

haha no offense taken miles. It's all in good fun and in most importantly, post padding and gettin them posts up
On another note, I hate math man...I get a 65 or 70 or 75 in math and I still manage a 94 average because I get a 95 in every other subject...
If it wasn't for math, that 94 would be 97...but w/e man...just random...lol

CC I agree with you..........
I left this board after the finals and I check on here without posting, when I returned I found that every board and every thread was posts like **** the Lakers and there fans...fakers this Kobes that garbage , but I kep my mouth shut.... this week starting Monday, there were numorous threads like..... So you Itches are ready for Portland? Or Bynum Suks why are you guys so hyped up about him if Kwame started over Bynum....... Crap........Not counting numerous threads and posts all over G.B and team boards........... No other Mod cares or does anything on other boards specially the Cs board, specailly Cs board, where there posters on daily bases call us Fakers, B.tches, they flat out write ........... F***off your piece os ish. and your report them.
Even when you report them to the highest board member of realgm and you know what you recieve by email after a month." Thank you Tony for bringing up this matter to our attention" ................. So when we lose Ronny to G.S and on that same week we get shted on by every poster that comes on this board and basically take a dump on this board and every Laker fan, you can say that me personally isnt going to take a Celtic fan coming on here and posting............ Sasha to Europe, and this is coming from reports in Slovania but I dont have a link or any source....... than Ya Im sorry but to me thats looks like another thread that doesnt seem right, and all I can say is I have yet to find any Celtic fan that has come on our board and posts anything nice..........YET............... So Im sorry if I made a mistake by questioning the O.P of that thread for his source or a link to his Rumor but then again I was following this boards R&G since I thought thats what were suppose to do on here when we post something, is to have a valid link or a source......... But you know what Im over it.
I will just float with everyone else on here and try to fit in

Re: Community Thread VII
Hey man, I am totally aware and sore from all the laker bashing since the finals. I have an ideas what the Buffalo Bills must have felt like after being repeated superbowl losers. You'd think they or us were the worst team in the league and not the most promising(which we are).
I don't want to discuss all that's happened behind the scenes recently in here, but there have been some new decisions and positive actions taken to start correcting problems. If you want more info pm me.
I think the OP poster on Sasha's thread however was more of a nationalist to his country than a gloating Celtic fan. You weren't wrong to ask for a link, you just came at him pissed right off the bat when you could have asked matter of factly and we would have shut it down if there was no link or proof.

You are correct I was, and Im will admit that.
I guess I took him for every other Celtic fan that was and has been on our baord bashing or posting something stupid, but then again you cant blame me for that since it has been common practice on this board (realgm) and on our (P&G) board for all the insults and bashing US Laker fans recieve on daily and hourly bases on this board.
Also CC, you know I do respect this board as well as all of our Mods, and certain posters including yourself and you also know that I dont have a problem with speaking my mind, sometime I know I can be too honest or too stupid when things get personel , at no point and time do I mean any disrespect to this board or yourself when Im openly post about these issues since I think this is a common problem that is revolving on REALGM and not only our board and I can honestly say that this isnt only my problem but other members as well, since I do see a lot of Laker fans hitting back other posters on other boards when we are getting attacked.
And if I didnt see Miles post about how poster dont respect Mods, or how certain posters on here are very rude and disrespectful, then maybe I would have kept my mouth shut since I would've thought that it would and it was a waste of time to address this issue since no one does anything about it anyways.
But since Miles was being honest as always LOLLLLL and I do respect him for stepping up and telling it like it is, I felt that this is a subject that has been overlooked by this board, specailly from higher end that do see these insults and bashing we as Laker fans recieve everyday were on this board.
But as far as the Sasha Europe thread, yes I took it as a Cs fan coming on here and trolling our boards with nonsense.

Tony, just because we dont go full on with these posters who start threads like you mentioned doesnt mean we dont handle it. Those guys get suspended and banned behind the scenes. Thats the way it works. We dont let anything get by us. The point we were saying with you.. is that we want to make sure you dont get caught up in because we dont want you or anyother reg. to get busted either.TonyMontana wrote:Corvus Crow wrote:Tony, there was no need to enforce.
