The Boston Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers, and New Jersey Nets have agreed on a trade.

PDX sends:
3x minimum contracts of Lindsey Hunter + PJ Brown + Juwan Howard = 3,786,825

BOS sends:
Steve Blake = 4,250,000

Works as 3,786,825 x 1.25 = 4,733,531.25

BOS sends:
Lindsey Hunter + PJ Brown + Juwan Howard = 3,786,825

PDX sends:
nothing, works because of minimum contracts

NJ sends:
Luke Walton = 4,420,000

PDX sends:
Steve Blake = 4,250,000

Works because 4,250,000 x 1.25 = over 5 million

PDX sends:
Luis Scola 3,150,000
Luke Walton 4,420,000
Hunter + PJ Brown + Juwan Howard = 3,786,825
1st Round Pick (via Charlotte, Top 7 Protected throughout)

Outgoing Total:
11,336,825

PDX receives:
Kirk Hinrich 10,000,000
Luther Head = 1,962,378

Incoming Total: 11,962,378 (works)

BOS sends:
Baron Davis 15,000,000 (total outgoing)

BOS receives:
Luis Scola 3,150,000
Luke Walton 4,420,000
Lindsey Hunter + PJ Brown + Juwan Howard = 3,786,825
2009 1st Round Pick (via Charlotte, Top 7 Protected throughout)
2009 1st Round Pick (via Houston, unprotected)
2009 1st Round Pick (via Detroit, unprotected)
Separately, Boston also receives a 5 Million TE from NJ as they are under the cap

Incoming Total:
11,336,825 (works as BOS gets less than outgoing)

NJ sends:
Kirk Hinrich 10,000,000
1st Round Pick (via Detroit, unprotected)
1st Round Pick (via Houston, unprotected)

NJ receives:
Baron Davis 15,000,000

Works because NJ is under the cap, therefore NJ also automatically sends out a TE

NJ sends:
Steve Blake 4,250,000

PDX sends:
Daniel Gibson 4,000,000

Works because 4,000,000 x 1.25 = 5 million

PDX sends:
Steve Blake 4,250,000

NJ sends:
Daniel Gibson 4,000,000 (therefore loses BYC)

Works because 4,000,000 x 1.25 = 5 million

BOS sends:
Lindsey Hunter + PJ Brown + Juwan Howard = 3,786,825

PDX sends:
Devin Brown = 2,000,000

Works because of minimum contracts.

BOS sends:
Devin Brown = 2,000,000 (therefore loses BYC)

PDX sends:
Lindsey Hunter + Juwan Howard

Works because of minimum contracts

Portland accepts and welcomes a great addition to their backcourt.

No offense but God I hate these complicated trades that are basically a series of trades that send players back and forth and back and forth. I hope we don't have them next time we play this game.

They are not combined, I think if a team is under the cap (in this case, NJ), therefore the TE is automatically sent.

Seattle and Minnesota have a trade.

To Minnesota:
Travis Diener $1.62M
2010 Seattle 2nd-round pick

Denver accepts.

We save over 38 million (plus lux tax) in the next few years. Marbury is also a huge expiring that could be valuable near the trade deadline.
