We aren't using the consecutive draft pick rule, so that's fine. But the other part is interesting; if this is true, then the deal should be void and should NOT be able to be changed.#1knickfan wrote:Wait a minute. I was sent a 2011 first rounder from Toronto that is lottery protected but unprotected for 2012 in my recent trade with the Raptors. I am seeing an unprotected 2012 first rounder from Toronto being moved around left and right. I need a ruling here because Toronto cannot deal picks in back to back seasons and 2 teams cannot have both have rights to an unprotected first rounder.
EDIT: And how can the Blazers trade that pick before they even get it? They trade the 2012 1st round pick of the Raptors BEFORE they get it in the Gibson trade! Both of those trades should be void, as the first trade can't happen as the Blazers didn't have the pick, and the second trade can't happen because the Knicks already have that pick. These trades should both be void with NO way to be able to change them as the deadline has passed.
Zong, I know you're team is amazing and what not, but please try to play by the rules.
