Couldn't disagree more with us receiving the highest grade, Memphis had an excellent offseason compared to us, dispite the fact they're not in the playoff race, they secured a future star, possibly the best center in Europe, they made a committment to getting better in offering Josh Smith a long term deal, compared to the Hornets who played downgraded most of their bench to bring in one guy who realisticly isn't going to be "instant offense" as a 6th man.

I'm not that upset with the Hornets offseason. It probably could've been a little better but it probably could've been worse also. They could've stood pat and not made any moves at all. They resigned Chris which was top priority and they made sure to do it in a very timely manner. I'm not all that crazy about them letting Pargo go but some think it will help the Hornets.

Posey should turn out to be a good pickup. Note I said 'should'. I'm not going to sit here and say he's the piece to get the Hornets over the top but I think this acquisition should help more than hurt. Devin Brown isn't a bad pickup but I think I'd have preferred another big man over Sean Marks. Not sure which big man though. But, we'll just have to see how it goes. The Hornets didn't need to make earth shattering moves this summer. Some fans think their teams need to revamp their entire rosters every summer. The Hornets didn't need to do that. They were only a piece or two away from the WC Finals. They decided to go more of the veteran route this summer. They only needed to tweak the bench a little for some depth. I think they may be finished with moves right now but we will probably see some movement around trade deadline. I don't know if I'd have given them an A or A- on this offseason but it's certainly not a D or an F either.

I feel that Byron Scott thinks that Julian Wright will be that Element and I think he will be that also
Mount Rushmore should have Obama, Powell, Wade, and Riley

Return to New Orleans Pelicans
