any body else getting a lot of those calls from people on behalf of the presidential candidates?
i've gotten 2 in the last hour from Obama's people

its pretty funny listening to these automated voices, i just talk back to them even though they can't here me

but the last one was a real person and apparently a while back i said i was leaning toward McCain, don't know where they got that from, probably from those 4 question surveys about policies (that i never really pay any attention to)
ah the life of an independent voter

Hey Danny Darko, can I get your thoughts on the shoot-outs in the NHL? Do you like or dislike having them? and, do you think the NHL has gotten softer in terms of physical play and such?

I get disappointed when I watch a hockey game and none of the players body check each other into the glass walls.

Its pretty fast and similar to field hockey but I really do not understand the strategies.

Off late, I've been watching a bit of NFL and starting to like it too.

Shoot outs: I am pretty ambiguous on this one. I realize that it's more satisfying to a lot of people to have a winner instead of the ties we used to see all the time, but I'm mixed on them. Occasionally I like the suspense, but I'd rather not get to that point and do the whole 2pts to the winner 1 to the loser scoring.

Physicality- no i would say the hits and fights are at a 5 year high. What happened when they tried to "clean up" hockey by over penalizing fights taught the league officials why fights were allowed in the first place:

1- policing. When you don't have thugs enforcing the written and unwritten rules players use sticks or check from behind when they are angry. This leads to bad injuries and it was robbing the league of stars.

2- entertainment. Fans loooove a good brawl. It's usually done with both players consent if it's two thugs, and if it's a gross offender vs a body guard.. good let the cheating cheap shot artist get royally beat down. He'll think twice before slashing or boarding another player after that.

one of the reasons I bowed out of hockey for a while was the lame pent up aggression from over penalizing fights. Payers were getting hurt bad all the time and it was boring watching a bunch of no names who couldn't touch each other.

If you want to see some hits watch the Kings Dustin Brown. He's looking to lead the league in hits two years in a row. He's not a thug, he's a captain with all around game, but he's mean and takes the body all game long.

i've loving the season so far. Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Doughty, and others have been showing some amazing things out there. And we have a new batch of classic fighters: Avery, Ivanans, Laraque, Parros, Cote... I'm liking the pugilists this year.

Seriously, this is blasphemy, but I think it's true: Ovechkin is better than Gretzky with a puck. I think Gretz was smart as they come, but Ovenchkin does absolute magic with a puck.
Here is an amazing goal by Ovechkin, wait for the replay so you can see how nuts that is: uspside down backwards goal

It's kinda funny... I've been dying to get back to LA for so many years. Now that I'm faced with the opportunity to actually go back... I'm starting to feel this weird draw to NYC. It's like, I know that eventually I'll end up back in LA so why not enjoy my 20s in NYC. Home is where the heart is but damn... NYC looks tempting right now.

And yeah, this coming from someone who has sheet-talked the east coast for 7 years now.
:clown:

We'll see how I feel after the winter starts up again. Haha.

So I got my SAT score yesterday...really bad...I scored a 1500 flat. I got a 540 in math and 480 in both reading and writing.

My dad is getting ready to ship my ass overseas. He almost cried.

He is overreacting man. It's been like this since I was 12. I grew up with successful sisters and an educated family. It was my first test and I took it without studying or ish. So a 1500 with no preparation is ehh man...

Why do I have to be born into a family that has always had and will forever have high expectations? He compared to his colleague's son who scored a 2180 and he goes to Stuyvesant. It's inner-city youth vs. city youth. It's a lose-lose situation.

On that note, I feel like sharing that MY WEIGHT GAME IS GETTING RIDICULOUS BOYYYYY!!

I'm squatting 275 and deadlifting 225 Tony and Phil!!!

I'm getting ready for indoor season and the championship medals around my neck that will be coming!!

**PS how can I increase my bench by 30 months in a month guys???

Wow man, that's kick ass.

I do about the same as you on the deadlift but I what you're doing is wayyy more impressive than what I think I'm doing.

I'm going to start adding some of your regimen into my own, so watch out!

Hm, getting bigger? If you're like me, you just have to eat more (but smarter).

Phil_2.0 is probably your go-to-guy for this info.

I would checkout bb.com or something to see what's right.

But normally... if you increase your protein intake and maintain a decent amount of complex carbs you'll be fine.

And as long as you workout, you'll shed and gain weight.

I'm sure you drink a lot of water already, but I'm going to remind you anyways.

hahahaha and it looks like the days of the 1600/1600 are gone.

When you said 1500 I was pretty impressed.

But you should do fine man, as long as you want it. :)

Oh, and one more thing... if you're going to be training... for real, of course... DONT bust too many almonds/cashews/walnuts with your lady friends.

To modify a quote by Mickey from Rocky, ["stay away from hos - you need your legs"]

Btw, if things get too stressful, holla at cha boy and lets make a few trades.

I could use a few of your starters and I can tempt you with my bench warmers.

You know how appealing (Stackhouse, Big Ben, Haslem = KG, AI, JO) is.

I'll throw in a cigar of your choice if you're serious.

Don't worry, milesfides is going to be paying b/c he doesn't need real money atm.

(But he'll be back! he's only imaginary hung-over atm!)

Ok, I think I should of just sent you an email instead.

Silly me.

1/3 chance this post gets deleted.

Making a big deal out of nothing. On my first SAT I scored like a 1350 or something.

Ended up raising it up to a 1670, which was good enough to get me into all teh UCs I applied to.
